JOHNSTOWN – Luke A. Wilson, 35, of Johnstown, NY, went to be with his Savior on Saturday, March 19 after a long courageous battle against cancer. He was surrounded by his family and friends.

Luke is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Alyssa (Town) Wilson, a son Elijah, two daughters, Allison and Evangelinah, his loving parents Harold and Jackie (Jones) Wilson, a brother Nicholas (Erica) Wilson, a maternal grandmother Hilda Jones, mother and father-in-law Bob and Terri Town, sister and brothers-in-law Amy (Steven) Solar, Shane (Kari) Town, a grandmother-in-law Lily Ryan, special and dear friends Jon (Sarah) Vidulich and Christie (James) Emmons. He is also survived by half siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Luke was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Stanley P. Jones, paternal grandparents Harold E. Wilson Sr. and Lillian Wilson, his beloved Aunt Sharon (Wilson) Sweetay.

Luke loved his family. He was a devoted father and husband. Luke would do anything to help anyone. He found pleasure in building full size hover crafts, flying airplanes, riding his motorcycle, fishing, metal detecting, hiking and hunting.

Luke attended Galway Central School. He was an active member of Life Christian Center Church of Johnstown. He had a love and respect for Pastor William and Esther Emmons.

Calling hours were held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Life Christian Center Church, 1680 State Hwy 67 in Johnstown. A celebration of Luke’s life followed.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Luke’s children.
