Janice H. Waring


Saratoga Springs, NY – Janice H. Waring, 79, passed away Monday, February 13, 2012.

Born June 14, 1932, in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Hazel Tessier Delay. She worked as an ATM supervisor for the Adirondack Trust Co. in Saratoga Springs. Janice loved to travel and socialize at local clubs. She was a devoted mother to her seven children and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Janice was a communicant of St. Clement’s Church.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, G. Philip “Phil” Waring; son, Michael J. Waring; sister, Catherine Zabala; and son-in-law, David Bradley.

Survivors include her children, Sharon (Henry) Pennell, Clare (Barney) Villa, Janice Waring-Bradley, Colonel Philip F. (Patricia) Waring, David G. (Valerie) Waring and Walter J. Waring; siblings, Walter “Butch” (Betsy) Delay and Carol Hickey; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, (518) 584-5373.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012, at St. Clement’s Church, 231 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs, by the Very Rev. Paul J. Borowski, C. Ss.R.

Burial will be in the family plot at St. Peter’s Cemetery, West Ave., Saratoga Springs.

Janice’s family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at Maplewood Manor and Community Hospice of Saratoga for their loving care and dedication.
