Dear Mona, 

I should be a happy little pup but I believe I am letting my insecurities get the best of me. I am an 8 month old Yorkshire Terrier and lately, I’ve been acting out. I admit this because I think my mom is planning an intervention so I guess this is getting serious. What can I do to prove to my family that I am really a cute little lovebug and not a tough cookie?

Dear Mona,

Hi! I am a 9 week old West Highland Terrier. I am super fun and have tons of energy. I like to jump, bite, smile, bark, jump, jump, play, sleep and jump some more! Over the last few days, my mom has taken me outside for a few minutes. What is OUTSIDE? Is that going to be a magical word? What am I supposed to do out there? Huh?

I love my Kong toy, and my mom thinks she's the coolest gal on the block every time she stuffs it with peanut butter and puts it in the freezer. I don't have the heart to tell her that everyone's mom does that and the PB recipe is so played out. Seriously, I'm sick of sticky mouth. I'm hoping your readers can pass along some new Kong creations for my mom. #peanutbutterjellytime

Dear Mack,

Your mom is way cool. Anyone that gives their pup a Kong toy is awesome. Kong toys are great because they keep us out of trouble and focused on getting ALL the goodies out of the Kong instead of dogs walking past your window. My mom uses peanut butter all the time. I was craving something new, too. Last week, Mom froze a little cream cheese inside the Kong and WHOA! I was blown away! Cream cheese smells and tastes so good. Very refreshing and different from peanut butter!!!!

This is my first winter in NY. I’m not sure about this cold white stuff! And how the heck are you supposed to chase squirrels on ice? Oh and I can’t believe these hair snowballs. HAIR SNOWBALLS? Dear Mona,

Our names are Tanner (mastiff lab mix age 12) and Cooper (beagle age 9) and we are having trouble with a new puppy mom and dad brought home. Her name is Tansy (husky mix age 4 months) She barks in our faces and tugs on our ears and pulls our tails. We are getting older and enjoy some quiet time but she does not allow us that. Dear Mona,

For some reason my mom doesn't like it when I try to see what's happening on the counters. She calls it counter-surfing and doesn't like it for some reason. I'm a big dog and I can put my front paws up there easily - I just want to be part of the action and help her cook. How can I convince my mommy that it's OK?  #parentsjustdon'tunderstand.

I am the luckiest dog. My brother, Uncas, was the best dog that ever lived.  I couldn't have asked for a better friend. He had hair like Elvis and a bark like Lassie. I’m sad to say that he went to heaven last month. Our whole family misses him terribly and we’ve been moping around. What can I do to help my family smile a little more? #uncaswasthebestdog
