Letter to the Editor:
I’m voting on November 3 for Commissioner Anthony “Skip” Scirocco not because of the positions he took supporting the Comprehensive Plan and supporting providing emergency services to serve residents east of the Northway, but because during his eight years in office he has been pro-active in working to improve and update the City’s infrastructure. The Public Works Department has planned and completed a new water mains on Beekman Street and Woodlawn Avenue and now a new main is being installed on Washington St. The water plant’s filtration system has been upgraded, four new wells have been drilled at Bog Meadow which can produce 2 million gallons of water a day and Ballston Avenue (route 50) has been redesigned and rebuilt as it intersects with Broadway with Federal and State grants and the Canfield casino ceiling has been repaired and new handicapped accessible stairs have been installed.
It takes a lot of hard work to keep our City in shape and Skip has committed himself to do projects that will serve us for decades to come. Please join me and support Skip on Election Day.
