Healthy Kid’s Day

SARATOGA SPRINGS — On Saturday, May 11, the Saratoga Regional YMCA will be celebrating Healthy Kids Day. The YMCA will be hosting this free community event at the Saratoga Springs Branch as part of their commitment to addressing critical gaps in health and education. Healthy Kids Day will encourage both kids and parents to keep their bodies and minds active now and throughout the summer.

At Healthy Kids Day, the nation’s largest health day for kids, participants will enjoy a 1k run, an Xtreme Bootcamp run by Taylor’s Heroes, brain buster games, and lots more. There will be pony rides for $5, a rock wall and tennis station outdoors, bounce houses and photo booth fun. There will also be raffle drawings for various prizes.

The Saratoga Regional YMCA is proud to have Healthy Kids Day be a part of the Saratoga 150 events, as the community celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Saratoga Race Course.

  • New York State Police The New York State Police announced that it issued 5,576 tickets during this year’s St. Patrick’s Day enforcement initiative. The campaign began on Friday, March 15, and continued until Sunday, March 17.
