Shelters of Saratoga To Get Clean-up Assistance from Keller Williams Saratoga Springs RED Day Volunteers

By Staff Report | Local Briefs

SARATOGA SPRINGS – Keller Williams Realty of Saratoga Springs will be participating in National RED Day to be held on Thursday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to assist Shelters of Saratoga (SOS), located at 14 Walworth Street, Saratoga Springs, with clean up and shelter repairs.

RED Day, which stands for Renew, Energize and Donate, is an initiative celebrating Keller Williams'  year round commitment to improve the communities they serve. Each year since 2009 on the 2nd Thursday in May thousands of associates from across the U.S. and Canada participate in a wide range of projects. Activities include home restoration, cleaning up local trails, providing food for the homeless or any service activity needed within their community.

"Locally, the Keller Williams team will assist SOS in preparing for their 3rd Annual Open House to be held on June 27th, by painting, sprucing up the grounds and other assorted tasks," says Justin White, CEO for Keller Williams Realty Saratoga Springs.

White noted, "For the last few years the Saratoga Springs team has had a great day of volunteering their time and 'elbow grease' and has found it very fulfilling."

SOS is the only emergency homeless shelter in Saratoga, Washington, or Warren counties that serves both men and women. For the past 22 years, SOS has helped individuals with shelter, food, clothing, employment, transportation assistance, and case management and relies heavily on the community’s generosity to meet this complex array of services.
