Double H Ranch Is looking for Amateur Bakers

Digging Into Dessert – An Amateur Baking Contest

LAKE LUZERNE — Double H Ranch is pleased to announce that this year's Annual Gala will feature a one-of-a-kind Amateur Baking Competition.

The Double H is looking for the area's best amateur bakers to compete for a grand prize of $4,000. Three finalists will be selected to serve their very own creation to Gala guests on Friday, June 28 at Six Flags Great Escape. Gala attendees will serve as judges (People’s Choice Award) and have an opportunity to sample the finalists prepared desserts. Prizes will be announced at the Double H Ranch Annual Gala.

Interested applicants for the Digging Into Dessert Competition must be amateur cooks and 18 years or older with an original dessert recipe. New this year, all recipes MUST contain an item off of Dunkin' Donuts’ menu. Dunkin' Donuts ingredients can be used in any format as long as it is listed in the ingredient list. Dessert item must be able to be served cold.  Applicants must submit a 3-5 minute video as well as prepare and serve 800 samplings of their dessert at the Annual Gala. Entry deadline is May 24, 2013.   • First Place: Golden Nugget $4,000
  • Second Place: Silver Nugget $1,000
  • Third Place: Bronze Nugget $750

The Double H Ranch Gala is the organizations largest annual fundraiser and is attended by over 700 guests. The exciting event will feature both silent and live auctions, a children’s program, and catering provided by Glen Sanders Mansion. Following the program, The Great Escape rides and games are open exclusively to guests of the Double H Ranch.

Tickets to the Gala are $250 for an Honorary Committee Member, $150 for adults, $100 for adults 35 and younger, or $40 for children. Register online to attend the Gala at www.doublehranch.org. The campaign began on Friday, March 15, and continued until Sunday, March 17.
