SARATOGA SPRINGS - On Friday, May 17, 2013 will see honors bestowed on Mark Straus and the George S. Bolster Collection at the Saratoga Springs History Museum for their unique contributions to the preservation and rehabilitation of Saratoga Springs.

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Barbara Banke of Stonestreet Stables and renowned broadcaster Charlsie Cantey have joined the Board of Trustees of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. The appointments were announced by Stella F. Thayer, President of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame.
SARATOGA SPRINGS — On Saturday, May 11, the Saratoga Regional YMCA will be celebrating Healthy Kids Day. The YMCA will be hosting this free community event at the Saratoga Springs Branch as part of their commitment to addressing critical gaps in health and education. Healthy Kids Day will encourage both kids and parents to keep their bodies and minds active now and throughout the summer.
A fundraiser for Wiawaka Holiday House SARATOGA SPRINGS — "Recent Oils and Mixed Media" is an exhibition of works by Saratoga Springs artist, Pat McEvoy, which are on display through June 2nd at Mimosa Gallery, 489 Broadway in Saratoga Springs.
SARATOGA SPRINGS — A fundraiser to support Lexi Gurka, a three-year-old recently diagnosed with a rare form of Lymphoma will be held on Sunday, May 5 from 1 p.m.—6 p.m. at The Putnam Den located on 63 Putnam Street in downtown Saratoga Springs. Access to the event costs $20 at the door and all proceeds go towards Lexi’s treatment and related expenses. This event is open to the public.

WILTON — On Friday, April 26, Saratoga P.L.A.N. (PLAN) hosted an outdoor workshop on landscaping with native plants. This interactive workshop featured a panel discussion with expert local landscapers, ecologists and garden designers. Over 50 people came out to learn how to design their yards and planters using native plants and why doing so is more efficient, more cost effective, easier and supports the ecology of the greater landscape.

The company is celebrating its 13th summer season of free outdoor theater in Saratoga’s beautiful Congress Park. Rehearsals begin on Monday July 1, 2013 and performances are scheduled for July 16–July 28.
