SARATOGA SPRINGS – Saratoga Juice Bar’s wholesale business, Legacy Juice Works, is part of a nationwide competition for emerging brands called the BevNet Winter Live New Beverage Showdown. Legacy Juice Works was among a field of over 100 innovative beverage companies, and is now one of only 12 brands selected as a semifinalist.

The brand receiving the most audience votes goes to a final round on Tuesday, Dec. 5. Votes are made by clicking on the live stream link https://www.bevnet.com/livestream on Monday, Dec. 4, between 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EST.

The BevNet Winter Live Showdown is a two-day competition held in Santa Monica, California in December. Contestants have the opportunity to pitch their company and products to a panel of judges who are renowned industry experts for the chance to win a $5,000 cash prize and a $5,000 marketing package. The audience is expected to include over 500 beverage professionals, representing a range of beverage-specific industry supplier and service companies.

Legacy Juice Works was selected for its new Organic Tart Cherry product line, which launched in 70 Wegmans stores at the end of October. In just six weeks, the company sold over 900 cases of its organic, tart cherry-based, cold-pressed juices to Wegmans.

“We are particularly excited because our product is first of its kind in the global marketplace and also because we so believe in the incredible benefits of tart cherry,” says company co-founder Christel MacLean.

“Our company is the first to deliver an organic, cold-pressed, high-pressure, cold water-processed, tart cherry product line that is neither heat pasteurized, nor from concentrate. We have also cornered the fresh, raw, organic tart cherry market for this growing season,” adds co-founder Colin MacLean.

“We love the fact that there is the ability for people to weigh in from afar using the live stream link and are really hoping for some great support from our Saratoga Juice Bar store regulars, Legacy Juice Works fans in the grocery stores and, of course, our friends and family; this is an incredible opportunity for the company as we grow,” says National Sales Manager Shawn Wilbur.
