Fermented Foods: A Healthy Food Trend for 2013

According to recent summaries of food trends for the coming year, fermentation is something we’ll continue to hear more about in 2013’s recipes, menus, and food news.

For all of you interested in food and farms—and particularly if you lean towards support of organic options when you have the chance—there’s a don’t-miss event coming up right here in Saratoga later this month.

From January 25-27 at the Saratoga Hilton and Saratoga Springs City Center, the Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York (usually called “NOFA”) has its annual Winter Conference. And you’re invited to attend!

  • Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office  The Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic incident call on Manchester Drive in the town of Halfmoon on April 21. Investigation into the matter led to the arrest of Julia H. Kim (age 33) of Halfmoon, who was charged with assault in the 2nd degree (class D felony) and criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree (class A misdemeanor).
