SARATOGA SPRINGS — The League of Women Voters of Saratoga County (LWV) has scheduled a meeting on Saturday, April 1 to examine the separation of executive and legislative powers in Saratoga County local governments. The meeting will start at 1 p.m. on the second floor of Woodlawn Commons, located at 156 Lawrence Street.
A local study was initiated in the spring of 2015. The study committee will present its findings in relation to local governments separating executive (or administrative) from legislative (or policy making) functions in Saratoga County villages, towns, cities and the county government.
Non-LWV members are invited to attend the meeting to understand how the group develops policy positions by consensus. For more information, call 518-331-4011.
