MALTA — GlobalFoundries and the Town of Malta are offering a public viewing of the proposed Fab 8.2 manufacturing facility grounds Saturday, May 4 in an attempt to receive comments and concerns from residents about the visual impact of the proposed facility. 

MALTA — Town of Malta Councilman Peter Klotz announced April 22 he will be challenging Town Supervisor Paul Sausville, eight-year incumbent, for the Republican nomination for the position. In his statement, Klotz said that now is the time “for new leadership that can look at where we are and where we are going with a fresh approach.” 

MALTA — The Town of Malta is holding an Armed Forces Day Parade on Saturday, May 18 with a special theme to recognize and thank veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan for their service and to publicly welcome them home.

MALTA — Around the year 2008, a group of Saratoga Springs residents banded together in an effort to convince New York State legislators to plant a botanical garden in Spa State Park, but to no avail as it was ultimately denied inclusion into the state park’s master plan. Though many still had interest in forming a botanical garden somewhere in Saratoga County, the group’s steam was lost and the effort faded away.
