September 10 – September 16, 2022

Saratoga County Court

Cassandra Barden, 37, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced Sept. 8 to 4 months incarceration, after pleading to criminal contempt in the first-degree, and 1 year incarceration after pleading to burglary in the third-degree. The sentences will run consecutively. 

Robert Felice, 53, of South Glens Falls, pleaded Sept. 8 to felony burglary, criminal possession of stolen property, and grand larceny, in connection with incidents first charged in Northumberland and Moreau.  Sentencing Nov. 10. 

Angelo J. Zeoli, 42, of Troy, pleaded Nov. 8 to grand larceny in the fourth degree, first charged in Wilton March 2021. Sentencing Dec. 8. 

Michael S. Andrews, 25, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded Sept. 7 to criminal possession of a firearm. Sentencing Nov. 16. 

Timothy DiPasquale, 45, of Ballston Spa, pleaded Sept. 7 to aggravated criminal contempt, a felony. Sentencing Nov. 9. 

Cassandra Morsellino, 30, of Amsterdam, pleaded guilty in Saratoga County Court to attempted assault in the first-degree, a felony, in connection with a Dec. 5, 2021 shooting on Jersey Hill Road in the town of Galway. Morsellino admitted to being an accomplice with co-defendant Michael Kennedy in an attempted assault of a homeowner/ victim following an early morning dispute, according to Saratoga County District Attorney Karen Heggen. Sentencing on Dec. 2 when it is anticipated Morsellino will be sentenced to 6-1/2 years in state prison, Heggen added.   

Roarke Shea, 37, of Lake George, was sentenced Sept. 6 to 1 to 3 years incarceration after pleading to criminal contempt in the first-degree in Wilton. 

Arthur J. Martin, 42, of Ballston Spa, pleaded Sept. 2 to attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, in Malta. Sentencing Nov. 10. 

Sheriff’s Office

GALWAY – Shortly after 8 p.m. on Sept. 10, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a car vs. motorcycle accident on State Route 29 in the Town of Galway. A motorcycle operated by Chad M. Jazwinski, 46, of Galway, was travelling westbound and struck a vehicle that had been travelling eastbound on State Route 29, and was turning left into a parking lot adjacent to Benzal Road at the time of the accident. Jazwinski suffered traumatic injuries from the crash and died at the scene. The operator of the other vehicle is cooperating with the investigation. The investigation into the accident is ongoing by the Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Galway EMS, Community EMS, LifeNet, as well as fire departments from Galway, Saratoga Springs, Greenfield, Providence and Rock City Falls.

On Sept. 6, the Sheriff’s Office charged Sherrilyn A. Ostrander, 32, of Hudson with identity theft in the first-degree. Ostrander is accused of using the debit card of an elderly female under her care to make numerous charges amounting to a substantial loss to the victim.

Richard Daniels, 22, of Schuylerville, was charged Sept. 9 with unlawful dealing with child – alcohol. 

Anne Bachrach, 41, of Ballston Spa, was charged Sept. 9 with DWI, and moving from lane unsafely. 

Tyler Kennedo, 19, of Gansevoort, was charged Sept. 8 with aggravated unlicensed operation, and speed violation. 

Shaun Cole, 54, of Schenectady, was charged Sept. 6 with obstruct governmental administration. 

Arianna Fodera, 22, of Vorheesville, was charged Sept. 5 with DWI, and motor vehicle equipment violation.

Samuel Schor, 18, of Hoboken, N.J., was charged Sept. 5 with petit larceny. 

Neil Lescault, 47, was charged Sept. 5 with criminal trespass. 

Manuel Olmo, 53, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Se3pt. 4 with criminal sale controlled substance, and criminal possession controlled substance.

Kevin Cavanagh, 55, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Sept. 4 with burglary in the third-degree, and petit larceny, and criminal trespass, failure to pay service. 

Tabatha Heitzmann, 41, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Sept. 4 with aggravated unlicensed operation, and following too closely. 

Anne Cassidy, 60, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Sept. 3 with DWI, aggravated DWI, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and making an improper right turn. 

Alex Rodriguez, 24, of Schenectady, was charged Sept. 3 with DWI, moving from lane unsafely, fail to stop at a stop sign, and operating vehicle without inspection certificate.

Bailey Thibeault, 22, of Lexington, Kentucky, was charged Sept. 3 with DWI, speeding, moving from lane unsafely, and no motor vehicle license. 

Catherine Dickert, 19, of Ballston Lake, was charged Sept. 2 with aggravated unlicensed operation, and unsafe backing of vehicle. 

Matthew Fuery, 40, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Aug. 31 with identity theft, grand larceny, petit larceny, and unlawful possession personal ID. 

Jayde Tesiero, 27, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Aug. 30 with resisting arrest, and criminal mischief.

Jeffrey J. Whitney, 50, of Moreau, was sentenced Sept. 1 to 1-1/2 to 3 years incarceration, after pleading to aggravated family offense. 

Vincent E. Curtis, 22, of Milton, pleaded Sept. 1 to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony. Sentencing Nov. 10. 

Glenn R. Massoth, 34, of Albany, pleaded Aug. 30 to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony, in connection with charges in Saratoga Springs in August 2021. Sentencing Nov. 1. 

Adam S. Conlee, 37, of Gansevoort, was sentenced Aug. 30 to six months incarceration, after pleading to possessing a sexual performance by a child, a felony. 

Raffaele A. Petruzzo, 61, of Corinth, was sentenced Aug. 31 to 5 years probation, after pleading to felony DWI, in Saratoga Springs October 2021. 

Brendan A. King, 41, of Wilton, was sentenced Aug. 26 to 5 years’ probation, after pleading to felony grand larceny.

Christine E. Diggins, 31, of Middle Grove, pleaded Aug. 26 to felony DWI, in connection with an incident in Saratoga Springs on April 2. Sentencing Oct. 21. 

Brad N. Callanan, 39, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced Aug. 26 to 1-1/2 to 3 years’ probation, after pleading to criminal possession of stolen property, a felony, in connection with an incident in Mechanicville Oct. 24, 2021. 

Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office

A 44-year-old Mechanicville man died on Sept. 1 while canoeing on Saratoga Lake. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to a call of a person in the water yelling for help on Saratoga Lake approximately ¼-mile north of Brown’s Beach. The Sheriff’s marine patrol and dive team searched the area with assistance from NYSP aviation and the Corinth Fire Department. The Sheriff’s dive team subsequently recovered the body of the man, Christopher Lavigne, of Mechanicville. Lavigne was in the canoe alone and it is believed that windy conditions on the lake were responsible for him falling out of his canoe, according to the sheriff’s office.

John Galvagani, 34, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Aug. 29 with criminal trespass in the third-degree. 

Lareesa Ward, 24, of Schenectady, was charged Aug. 29 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and speeding. 

Gary Robinson, 36, of Gloversville, was charged Aug. 28 with criminal mischief in the third-degree. 

Michael Cole, 26, of Albany, was charged Aug. 27 with aggravated unlicensed operation, two driving violations, and one vehicle equipment violation. 

Devin Orphan, 22, of Schenectady, was charged Aug. 26 with petit larceny, criminal contempt, and aggravated family offense. 

Brian Curran, 41, of Middle Grove, was charged Aug. 26 with motor vehicle registration suspended, aggravated unlicensed operation, and no/inadequate plate lamp. 

Amy Pietronuto, 28, of Haverstraw, N.Y, was charged Aug. 24 with criminal possession of a controlled substance, alleged to be cocaine. 

Kevin Cavanagh, 55, was charged Aug. 24 with criminal trespass in the third-degree, and petit larceny. 

Noah Hughes, 32, of Schenectady, was charged Aug. 24 with petit larceny. 

Matthew Fritche, 26, of Mechanicville, was charged Aug. 23 with two counts of assault in the third-degree. 

Lisa Sterling, 52, of Schuylerville, was charged Aug. 23 with petit larceny. 

Natavio Dawson, 23, of Schenectady, was charged Aug. 23 with aggravated DWI. 

NY State Police 

On Aug. 30, State Police charged Kevin G. Hines, 41, of South Glens Falls, with criminal possession of stolen property in the third-degree, two counts of criminal mischief in the third-degree, reckless endangerment in the second-degree, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third-degree, obstructing governmental administration in the second-degree, resisting arrest, criminal mischief in the fourth-degree, operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs and multiple other violations of the vehicle and traffic laws.

On Aug. 30, State Police charged Margaret C. Crawford, 46, of Ballston, with Driving While Intoxicated, obstructing governmental administration in the second-degree, and other vehicle and traffic law violations. On August 30, at about 6:49 p.m., Troopers responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of State Route 9 and Vischer Ferry Road in the town of Halfmoon. The vehicle that caused the accident fled the area and was later located at the I-87 rest area in Clifton Park. The operator was identified as Crawford. Following an investigation, Crawford was charged with DWI and transported to SP Northway for processing, where she refused to submit to a chemical test to determine the alcohol content of her blood, according to State Police.

Adrianne D. Liedel, 20, of Milton, was arraigned Aug. 18 on a six-count indictment: vehicle manslaughter, DWAI, assault, failure to use due care to avoid a bicyclist, pedestrian, or domestic animal, and two counts vehicle assault. The indictment alleges that on March 15, Liedel operated a motor vehicle while impaired by the use of cannabis and caused the death of one pedestrian and severely injured another in the town of Ballston, according to a statement released by the Saratoga County District Attorney’s office. 

Devin Hayes, 25, of Gansevoort, pleaded Aug. 22 to aggravated family offense, in Moreau. Sentencing Oct. 19. 

Austin I. Klebauskas, 25, of Malta, was sentenced Aug. 25 to 5 years of probation, after pleading to felony DWI in Milton. 

Benjamin E. Noon, 44, was sentenced Aug. 19 to 2 to 4 years incarceration, after pleading to felony grand larceny, in Halfmoon. 

Michael M. Green, 19, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded Aug. 19 to felony burglary, Sentencing Oct. 14. 

John Sgorrano, 38, of Fort Edward, was sentenced to time served and 5 years of probation, after pleading to felony criminal mischief, in Moreau. 

Michael Ackerman, 28, of Newton Falls, pleaded Aug. 16 to promoting a sexual performance by child. Sentencing Oct. 18. 

Chantelle Joubert, 31, of Corinth, pleaded Aug. 16 to felony grand larceny, in Malta.

Jose Mercado, 41, of Albany, was charged Aug. 22 in Saratoga Springs with aggravated unlicensed operation, and failed to stop at a stop sign.

Franklin Lewis, 53, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Aug. 20 with criminal mischief. 

Michael Christon, 42, of South Glens Falls, was charged in Saratoga Springs Aug. 20 with aggravated unlicensed operation. 

Jamaine Myers, 44, of Troy, was charged in Saratoga Springs Aug. 20 with two counts criminal contempt, two counts aggravated family offense, and one count resisting arrest.

Shawn M. Finn, 35, of Malta, was charged Aug. 19 with two counts criminal sale of a controlled substance, and two counts criminal possession of a controlled substance. Finn is accused of possessing and selling quantities of methamphetamine in Saratoga County. 

Alia Leto, 20, of Hudson Falls, was charged in Saratoga Springs Aug. 14 with criminal impersonation, and obstructing governmental administration. 

James Archibald, 28, of South Glens Falls, was charged in Saratoga Springs Aug. 14 with DWI, refusal to take a breath test, leaving the scene of an accident, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, criminal possession of stolen property, and operating an unregistered vehicle. 

Keojhi Branch, 27, of Catskill, was charged in Saratoga Springs Aug. 14 with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Annamarie Maccioli, 46, was charged Aug. 13 in Saratoga Springs with DWAI.

Christopher House, 24, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced Aug. 18 to 5 years probation, after pleading to felony grand larceny, first charged in Malta. 

Craig R. Derusso, 31, of Clifton Park, was sentenced Aug. 18 to 1 year incarceration, after pleading to felony criminal possession of stolen property. 

Rolland Gibbs, 63, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced Aug. 12 to 5 years of probation, after pleading to reckless endangerment in the first-degree. 

Justin S. Rue, 37, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced Aug. 12 to 1 year incarceration, after pleading to felony assault, in a charged first made Oct. 2, 2021 in Saratoga Springs. 

Larenzo Escobales, 27, of Troy, was sentenced Aug. 11 to 6-1/2 years incarceration and 5 years post-release supervision, after pleading to strangulation in the second-degree, in connection with a felony first charged in Mechanicville February 2022. 

Amier K. Grant, 31, of Albany, was sentenced Aug. 11 to 3 years incarceration and 1 year post-release supervision, after pleading to attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, charged March 2021 in Wilton. 

Anthony E. Pinkney, 40, of Albany, pleaded Aug. 11 to attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, charged December 2021 in Moreau. Sentencing Oct. 20. 

Nicolle L. Bailey, 44, of Albany, was sentenced Aug. 17 to 5 years probation, after pleading to felony DWI, in Halfmoon.

Daniel Luna, 41, of the Bronx, was sentenced to 4 years probation, after pleading to felony DWI, in Saratoga. 

Police

Chad Brown, 43, was charged Aug. 17 with criminal obstruction of breathing, a misdemeanor. According to Saratoga Springs Police, a complaint was taken at approximately 11 p.m. regarding an incident that occurred involving an acquaintance known to Brown. Brown was taken into custody, processed, and released on $2,500 cash bail after arraignment in Saratoga Springs City Court.

Jose Hidalgo, age 59, and Guadalupe Montesdecoa-Aguilar, age 36, were charged Aug. 18 with criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. Both charges are felonies. The arrests were the result of  a narcotics investigation into a dorm residence on New York Racing Association property (NYRA), by members of the Saratoga Springs Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit. It is alleged both men were in possession of over 200 grams of cocaine while working on NYRA property. 

Daniel R. Pabon, 37, of Amsterdam, was charged Aug. 15 with felony assault and felony criminal mischief, in connection with a car vs. scooter motor vehicle accident on State Route 50 in the town of Ballston on Aug. 15. Pabon is accused of striking the operator of a motor vehicle with a dangerous instrument, causing physical injury, and intentionally damaging the other involved vehicle. 

David Z. Krapish, 32, of Ballston Spa, is charged with failing to change address as a sex offender, a felony. 

William R. Burden, Jr., 30, of Ballston, was charged Aug. 9 with assault and with strangulation. Burden is accused of striking and obstructing the breathing of a 1-year-old child known to him and causing physical injury to the child. He was sent to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 cash bail, $40,000 bond and $250,000 secured bond. 

Joseph V. Bagley, age 51, of Halfmoon, was charged Aug. 4 with aggravated family offense (felony), unlawful imprisonment (misdemeanor), and harassment (violation). Bagley is accused of pulling another person’s hair and preventing her from exiting his vehicle. He was charged with the aggravated family offense as a result of a conviction of a specified offense within the preceding 5 years.

Saratoga County Sheriff’s Report: 

On Aug. 12, motorcyclist Jeffrey D. Leighton, age 31, of Gansevoort died in a motor vehicle crash on U.S. Route 9 in the town of Wilton. 

Lawrence C. Dippold, 77, of Clifton Park, was charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred in the early afternoon on Aug. 18, in the Town of Clifton Park. Michele Heffern, 54, was killed as a result of the crash, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Dippold was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury incident resulting in death.

August 13 – August 19, 2022

COURT

Troy D. Cassell, Jr., 39, of Schuylerville, was found guilty Aug. 9 by trial jury of aggravated DWI with a child, DWAI, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and endangering the welfare of a child, in connection with a motor vehicle crash in the town of Saratoga September 2021. Cassell was operating a vehicle while his license was suspended when crashing into an embankment on state Route 29. A six-year-old child was in the back seat, and a drug recognition expert “determined that the defendant was under the influence of a narcotic drug and was unable to safely operate a motor vehicle,” according to a statement released by the Saratoga County District Attorney’s office. The child victim was treated by EMS and released to a relative on scene. Cassell faces up to four years incarceration. Sentencing Nov. 

Michael Gladding, 53, of Halfmoon, was sentenced Aug. 10 to 2 to 6 years incarceration, after pleading to promoting a sexual performance by a child. 

Crystal M. Bauer, 39, of Ballston Spa, pleaded Aug. 5 to felony DWI, in connection with an incident in Clifton Park. Sentencing Oct. 7. 

Allison L. Bechtold, 46, of Albany, was sentenced Aug. 5 to 5 years of probation, after pleading to DWI, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in Halfmoon. 

Michael L. Girard, 33, of Clifton Park, pleaded Aug. 4 to two felony counts criminal sexual abuse in the first-degree, in connection with incidents in Clifton Park in October and November, 2021. Sentencing Nov. 9. 

Thomas A. Allen, 33, of Greenfield Center, pleaded Aug. 5 to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance, in Corinth. Sentencing Oct. 7.

Tyrese Reeves, 22, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Aug. 7 with two counts assault, and one count gang assault, and obstruct governmental administration. 

Paul Kazmierczak, 18, of Greenfield, was charged in Saratoga Springs Aug. 7 with assault, and gang assault. 

Nicholas Richmond, 21, and Eli Grier, 21, both of Schenectady, were each charged in Saratoga Springs Aug. 7 with assault. 

Kaiden Stoma, 21, of Orange, Texas, was charged in Saratoga Springs Aug. 7 with criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

Bianca Barnes, 24, of Schuylerville, was charged in Saratoga Springs Aug. 6 with criminal mischief, tampering, revisiting arrest, assault, reckless endangerment, harassment, obstruct governmental administration, and criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

George Licata, 54, of Lake Luzerne, was charged in Saratoga Springs Aug. 5 with DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, circumvent interlock. 

Terrance King, 33, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Aug. 5 with strangulation, assault, and criminal mischief, and tampering.

Yasmine Hilton, 21, of Troy, was charged in Saratoga Springs Aug. 5 with possession forged instrument.

Dustin Quirion, 38, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Aug. 8 with 3 motor vehicle license registration/insurance violations.

Bruce L. Larrabee, 24, of Ballston Spa, was charged Aug. 1 with assault in the second-degree for allegedly causing physical injury to a deputy by kicking him to his facial area while at the Saratoga Hospital on July 31. Larrabee was an inmate at the Saratoga County Jail at the time of the incident. 

Philip Domingo, 38, of Albany, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 31 with aggravated unlicensed operation, and unsafe turn. 

Gary Fraiser, 54, of Saratoga Springs, was charged July 30 with DWI, and moved from lane unsafely. 

Emerson Lopez-Perez, 23, of Buskirk, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 30 with DWI, and following too close. 

Kevin Bessette, 45, of Fort Edward, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 30 with DWI, refusal to take a breath test, and driving in the wrong direction. 

Rachel Kennedy, 34, of Saratoga Springs, was charged July 29 with criminal mischief. 

Zachary Welch, 30, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 29 with assault, criminal mischief, and criminal obstruction of breathing, menacing.

August 6 – August 12, 2022

POLICE

Saratoga Springs Police received a call at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5 reporting a possible bomb on the West Avenue campus of SUNY Empire State College. At the time, a subject reported observing a suspicious device in the building. Police said the incident mimics similar incidents reported to college campuses nationwide since June. The Empire State campus was searched by members of the Saratoga Springs Police Department, SSPD explosives detection canine, as well as explosives detection canines from the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Police, with no device being located. At the present time the Saratoga Springs Police Department is forwarding information to the FBI to assist in its investigation of this incident and is also working collaboratively with other local law enforcement agencies who have had similar reports made.

Nicholas P. Lesson, 42, of Stillwater, was charged Aug. 4 with one count felony burglary, and two felony counts attempted sexual abuse. Lesson is accused of having unlawfully entered a residence by scaling the exterior of the building and gaining access through the second-floor porch, while being fully nude. According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Lesson awoke the residents while attempting to sexually abuse the victim while she was in bed, asleep, with her husband. Lesson was chased from the scene by the victim and her husband and located a short time later at his own residence. Lesson was arraigned and sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of bail.

Rayne McNeil, 29, of Albany, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 29 with vehicle registration suspended, and a vehicle equipment violation. 

Sheba N. Flood, 29, of Albany, was charged July 28 in Halfmoon with three felony counts grand larceny on the suspicion of stealing credit cards and a vehicle from a male complainant. 

Kwahpreme Mitchell, 31, of Troy, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 29 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to obey traffic device. 

Christopher Huck, 23, of Bolton Landing, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 28 with criminal mischief in the third-degree. 

Ann Khanna, 55, of Saratoga Springs, was charged July 28 with criminal tampering. 

Sativa Cannon-Van Dongen, 24, of Schuylerville, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 28 with aggravated unlicensed operation, and failure to stop at a stop sign. 

Theresa Travis, 32, of Saratoga Springs, was charged July 28 with two counts aggravated unlicensed operation, and single counts: criminal possession of a controlled substance, DWAI, and leaving the scene of an accident. 

Shakema Wilmot, 32, of Saratoga Springs, was charged July 25 with criminal mischief. 

Gabrielle Montayne, 61, of Ballston Spa, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 25 with DWI, and following too closely. 

Victor Maffetone, 36, of Saratoga Springs, was charged July 24 with assault in the third-degree. 

Jake Hodsdon, 29, of Hoosick Falls, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 24 with DWI, and two driving-related violations. 

D’ontay Bennifield, 23, of Greenfield Center, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 24 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, aggravated family offense, criminal contempt, operating motor vehicle without insurance, having a suspended registration, and insufficient taillights. 

Shantel Dupont, 32, of Watervliet, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 23 with operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and a vehicle equipment violation. 

Edward Richardson, 39, of Guilderland, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 23 with petit larceny. 

Matthew Weir, 33, of Ballston Spa, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 17 with robbery in the third-degree.

Kenneth Palso, 19, of Saratoga Springs, was charged July 17 with criminal mischief, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon. 

Samreen Sarfaraz, 24, of Albany, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 17 with DWI, refusal to take a breath test, and unsafe backing of vehicle.

Robert Loya, 52, of Saratoga Springs, was charged July 16 with DWI.

Luke P. Dashnaw, 22, of Wilton, was sentenced July 15 to a total term of 4-1/13 to 13 years incarceration, after pleading to promoting a sexual performance by a child, first charged August 2020 in Halfmoon. 

Kasey B. O’Herron, 36, of Greenfield Center, pleaded in Saratoga County Court to felony DWI in Saratoga Springs. Sentencing Sept. 16. 

Geoffrey Pickering, 32, pleaded in Saratoga County Court to felony aggravated family offense in Milton. Sentencing Sept. 23. 

Devin C. Bryant, 26, of South Glens Falls, was sentenced July 15 to a total incarceration term of 6 years, and 5 years of post-release supervision, after pleading to felony burglary and felony strangulation, first charged in Moreau. 

Jason M. Benson, 40, of Corinth, pleaded in Saratoga County Court to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance. Sentencing Sept. 29. 

Raymond C. Horning, Sr., 32, of Gloversville, pleaded in Saratoga County Court to the felonies criminal mischief, and grand larceny. Sentencing Sept. 29. 

Rodolfo L. Ocel, 33, of Troy, pleaded in Saratoga County Court to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third-degree, a felony. Sentencing Sept. 15. 

Tyler Lumia, 23, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded in Saratoga County Court to assault in the first-degree. Sentencing Sept. 14. According to the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office, Lumia admitted to stabbing an unarmed man several times in the face and chest following a late-night dispute at an unnamed Caroline Street bar on Oct. 31, 2021. Lumia is expected to be sentenced to a 10-year prison term in September. 

Terrence Boston, 60, of Albany, pleaded in Saratoga County Court to forgery in the second-degree in Halfmoon, a felony. Sentencing Sept. 19. 

Miley A. Thomas, 30, of Mechanicville, was sentenced July 25 to 5 years of probation, after pleading to felony DWI. 

Ryan M. Natalie, 42, of Glenvillem, NY, was sentenced July 25 to 5 days incarceration and 5 years’ probation, after pleading to aggravated DWI with a child, in connection with an incident in Clifton Park in January. 

Naomi Sweeting, 23, of Brooklyn, pleaded in Saratoga County Court to criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second-degree in Malta. Sentencing Sept. 28. 

Jason P. Morelli, 40, of Waterford, was sentenced July 27 to 4 years’ incarceration and 2 years’ post-release supervision, after pleading to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance. 

POLICE 

Depree Faulks, 30, of Amsterdam, was charged with three felony counts criminal possession of a controlled substance, and single felony counts criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of a narcotic drug.  Faulks was sent to Saratoga County Jail without bail and is also currently under the supervision of the New York Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.

Samuel Payano, 22, of Amsterdam, was charged with two felony counts, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and single felony counts criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of a narcotic drug. Payano was sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail, or $150,000 bond. 

City Police narrative: At approximately 3:45 a.m. on July 23, members of the Saratoga Springs Police Department Patrol Division and Investigations Division were working a combined enforcement detail specifically concentrating on the downtown business district. Investigator Rich Arpei and Patrol Officer Stephanie Herman observed two suspicious males in a parking lot on Caroline St. During the course of the investigative stop a silver handgun was located in a vehicle both were in. The pair were taken into custody at that time. As the investigation continued, the loaded, 9mm Fratelli Tanfoglio handgun was seized, as well as a large quantity of illegal narcotics in pill form. The pills tested positive for fentanyl and methamphetamine. Also seized was over $3,500 cash. 

Giselle M. Barnes, 54, of Corinth, was charged July 12 with criminal nuisance in the first-degree, a felony. Barnes is accused of knowingly allowing drug sales to occur at her residence in the village of Corinth, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Barnes was sent to Saratoga County Jail without bail. 

Andrew P. Palmateer, 51, of Greenfield, was charged July 20 with felony DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and refusal to take a breath test, a violation, in connection with an incident in Milton. The DWI charged rises to a felony due to a prior DWI conviction within the prior 10 years. 

Tina Wolcott, 53, of Waterford, was charged July 19 with two counts each criminal sale, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

July 23 – July 29, 2022

COURT 

Michael R. Zakrewski, 45, of the town of Day, was sentenced July 18 to more than 34 years in prison, following a six-week-long trial. The charges stem from a Nov. 30, 2020 incident during which he strangled his girlfriend until she lost consciousness, drove her to a remote location and assaulted her, holding her for approximately 9 hours overnight, according to the Saratoga County District Attorney’s office.  Following her escape, his arrest, and the issue of an order of protection he called the victim approximately 100 times – in violation of that order – and enlisted the assistance of his teenage son to convince the victim to not testify against him. Multiple charges included kidnapping, assault, unlawful imprisonment, tampering with a witness, two counts strangulation, and three counts each criminal contempt, and aggravated family offense. The victim provided the sentencing court with a Victim Impact statement. 

Justice D. Locke, 20, of Indian Lake, was sentenced July 14 to 16 years in state prison and 5 years post-release supervision, after pleading to assault in the first-degree in connection with an October 2021 incident in Corinth, where he entered an apartment and assaulted a man with a tomahawk-style axe, according to the Saratoga County District Attorney’s office. The victim suffered serious physical injury and was airlifted to Albany Medical Center where he received critical emergency care. 

Donald D. Martin, III, 36, of Corinth, was sentenced July 11 to 2-4 years incarceration after pleading to criminal possession of a weapon, and 1-1/2 to 4-1/2 years incarceration after pleading to failure to register as a sex offender. Sentences to run consecutively. 

Vallen E. Mayes, 37, of Moreau, was sentenced July 11 to 5 years of probation, after pleading to felony DWI. 

Nicholas R. Alber, 25, of Schenectady, was sentenced July 12 to 1-1/2 to 3 years incarceration, after pleading to attempted assault on the second degree. 

POLICE

Antonio Vargas, 56, of the Bronx, was charged July 14 with possession forged instrument, criminal impersonation, and unlawful possession personal ID. Vargas is suspected of being in possession of a forged passport card while attempting to cash a forged check at Saratoga National Bank on South Broadway in Saratoga Springs. According to city police, further investigation showed that the identification Vargas presented was a forged passport card and that the check was also a forged document. The Department of Homeland Security was contacted in relation to the forged federal document. Vargas, upon his release from City Court, was turned over to Homeland Security.

Ann Khanna, 55, of Saratoga Springs, was charged July 14 with criminal contempt, and criminal tampering. 

Allison Hammond, 51, of Ballston Spa, was charged July 14 with DWI, and two driving violations. 

Sean Dechick, 40, was charged July 13 with criminal mischief. 

Jennifer Hemphill, 50, of Saratoga Springs, was charged July 13 with petit larceny. 

Rosanna Burt, 38, of Cohoes, was charged July 13 with aggravated harassment. 

Paul Kazmierczak, 18, of Greenfield, and Tyrese Reeves, 22, of Saratoga Springs, were each charged July 11 in Saratoga Springs with gang assault in the second-degree, and assault in the third-degree. 

Frank Devito, 32, of Nyack, was charged July 10 in Saratoga Springs with DWI, vehicle equipment violation, and speeding.

Aaron Gilbert, 63, of Clifton Park, was charged July 13 with assault, and criminal obstruction of breathing. 

Jeremy Allen, 34, of Schuylerville, was charged July 9 in Saratoga Springs with aggravated unlicensed operation, and speeding. 

Joseph Schwartzbach, 39, of Stamford, was charged July 9 with DWI, refusal to take a breath test, and two driving violations. 

Tamara Robinson, 27, of Schenectady, was charged July 9 in Saratoga Springs with assault, resisting arrest, and obstruct governmental administration. 

Alanah Dubois, 27, of Nassau, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 8 with DWI, aggravated DWI, refusal to take a breath test, aggravated unlicensed operation, speed violation, and moving from lane unsafely. 

Matthew Gifford, 29, of Hadley, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 7 with reckless endangerment in the second-degree. 

Matthew Cinquanti, 41, of Gansevoort, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 7 with aggravated DWI. 

 Timothy Dipasquale, 45, of Milton, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 7 with criminal trespass and criminal mischief. 

Elijah Gaphoor, 23, of Troy, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 7 with acting in manner to injure a child. 

On July 6, the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit charged Kaiah E. Al, 23, of Corinth, with criminal sale of a controlled substance, and criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. 

Braydon Chowdhary, 22, of Saratoga Springs, was charged July 5 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and making an unsafe turn.

July 16 – July 22, 2022

COURT

Justin P. Rock, 37, pleaded July 14 to four felony robbery counts in connection with a February crime spree in Saratoga Springs. From Feb. 19-21, Rock, while indicating he had a firearm, entered the X-Tra Mart, Smone ‘n’ Save, Post Time Wine & Spirits, and I Love New York Pizza establishments in Saratoga Springs and demanded cash from the respective registers. Collectively, he made off with hundreds of dollars, according to a statement released by Saratoga County District Attorney Karen Heggen. Rock faces 8 to 16 years in prison when sentenced Sept. 15, and will pay full restitution to the businesses, Heggen said. 

Cassandra Barden, 37, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded July 7 to criminal contempt in the first-degree, and burglary in the third-degree – both felonies. Sentencing Sept. 8. 

Kalvin L. Pittman, 39, of Amsterdam, was sentenced July 6 to 3 years incarceration and 2 years post-release supervision, after pleading to attempted criminal possession of a weapon in the second-degree, first charged in March in Saratoga Springs. 

Keenu Watso, 27, of Albany, was sentenced July 8 to 1-1/2 to 3 years incarceration, after pleading to aggravated family offense felony, first charged in Waterford. 

Scott Blowers, 53, of Hudson Falls, was sentenced July 13 to 5 years of probation, in connection with felony assault charges in Wilton in 2019.

Jeffrey Stone, 55, of Richville, was sentenced July 13 to 3 years of probation, after pleading to failure to register as a sex offender in Wilton. 

Christopher Millington, 38, of Gansevoort, was sentenced July 13 to 1 to 3 years incarceration, after pleading to criminal contempt, in Northumberland. 

Bradley Hill, 24, of South Glens Falls, pleaded July 13 to reckless endangerment in the first-degree, in Moreau. Sentencing Sept. 28. 

POLICE

Shawn Whitman, 21, of Saratoga Springs, was charged July 4 with assault in the third-degree. 

Maison Dufty, 18, of Saratoga Springs, was charged July 4 with menacing, coercion, and criminal possession of a weapon. 

Between June 23 and 29, the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested six people in connection with the possession and sales of firearms in Saratoga County. They are accused of the possession and sale of firearms in Saratoga Springs and in Milton, and each of the six have been received multiple charged of criminal sale and criminal possession of a weapon. 

Those charged are: Michael S. Andrews, 25, Johnathon M. Parker, 29, of Hudson Falls, Jeffrey R. Bishop, 30, of Saratoga Springs, Patricia J. Show, 39, of Saratoga Springs, Teanna L. Gonzalez, 31, of Saratoga Springs, and Maggie L. Hayes, 27, of Ballston Spa.  As a result of the investigation two handguns, multiple magazines, including a 30-round capacity magazine, were seized according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. 

Michael Kelly, 19, of Saratoga Springs, was charged July 4 with DWI, and operating avehicle after consuming alcohol less than 21. 

Michael Burke, 34, of Albany, was charged July 3 in Saratoga Springs with petit larceny. 

Natavio Dawson, 23, of Schenectady, was charged July 3 in Saratoga Springs with DWI, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, reckless driving, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, passing a red light, and having no motor vehicle license. 

Autumn Sanders, 41, of Saratoga Springs, was charged July 2 with petit larceny. 

Carter Gordon, 19, of Saratoga Springs, was charged July 2 with assault, criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a forged instrument, obstruct governmental administration, and resisting arrest. 

Laurie Agan, 61, of Ballston Spa, was charged July 1 in Saratoga Springs with DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, and moving from lane unsafely. 

Max Sanchez, 23, of Albany, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 1 with speeding, and aggravated unlicensed operation.

Donald Gilbert, 36, of Ballston Spa, was charged in Saratoga Springs July 1 with DWI, refusal to take a breath test, leaving the scene, driving on/ across sidewalk, and failure to keep right. 

Michael Green, 19, of Saratoga Springs, Evan Jenkins, 18, of Gansevoort, and Christopher Rothaupt, of Saratoga Springs, were each charged June 28 with endangering the welfare of a minor, conspiracy, menacing, petit larceny, burglary, criminal possession of a weapon, and robbery. 

Ciera Bratis, 30, of Clifton Park, was charged in Saratoga Springs with two counts each identity theft, and petit larceny.

Austin I. Klebauskus, 25, of Malta, pleaded June 30 to felony DWI. Sentencing Aug. 25. 

Raven J. Stables, 19, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded to criminal sale of a controlled substance. Sentencing Aug. 25. 

Shari L Stephens, 37, of Malta, was charged June 27 with promoting prison contraband in the first-degree, a felony. Stephens is accused of sending mail to an inmate of the Saratoga County Jail that contained dangerous contraband, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. 

POLICE

On July 6, 2022, the Sheriff’s Office arrested the following person on the below listed charges: NYS PL 130.65(4) –Crim. Crim S. Trerise, 56, of Middle Grove, was charged with three felony counts sexual abuse in the first-degree, and one misdemeanor count sexual abuse in the second-degree, following an investigation by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Trerise is accused of having had sexual contact with 4 different minors from 2015-2017. At the time, 3 of the victims were under the age of 13 and one under the age of 14, all while the defendant was over the age of 21. The allegations occurred in the Town of Greenfield and the victims were known to the defendant. Trerise was sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail, $50,000 surety bond, or $250,000 unsecured bond. He is due back in court in August. Orders of Protection were issued on behalf of the victims

Meghan Reyome, 20, of Saratoga Springs, was charged June 27 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and having an inadequate plate lamp. 

Jonathan Elston, 33, of Ballston Spa, was charged in Saratoga Springs June 26 with aggravated unlicensed operation, following too closely, and motor vehicle registration suspended. 

Zachary Crowley, 25, of Schaghticoke, was charged in Saratoga Springs June 25 with DWI, aggravated DWI, and speed not prudent. 

Ismael Cortez, 27, of Saratoga Springs, was charged June 25 with DWI. 

Ethan Jordan, 27, of Troy, was charged in Saratoga Springs June 24 with obstruct governmental administration. 

Patrick Vezeau, 57, of Saratoga Springs, was charged June 23 with criminal contempt. 

Michael Scoville, 27, of Saratoga Springs, was charged June 22 with criminal mischief, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Anthony Luizzi, 22, of Albany, was charged in Saratoga Springs June 19 with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and two counts criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

Eric Jones, 28, of Saratoga Springs, was charged June 18 with petit larceny. 

Richard Baker, 68, of Mechanicville, was charged in Saratoga Springs June 18 with petit larceny. 

Jessica Bayonet, 40, of Saratoga Springs, was charged June 17 with criminal possession of stolen property. 

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit announced June 30 they had arrested Tracy P. Whipple, Corey A. Saxton and Jamie R. Brewer, following a surveillance operation in the Town of Wilton. Mrs. Whipple is accused of possessing a quantity of methamphetamine with the intent to sell. Mr. Brewer is accused of possessing a quantity of crack cocaine. Mr. Saxton, active parolee, failed to obey a lawful order from members of the Narcotics Unit, then subsequently led arresting members on a foot pursuit and shortly thereafter was taken into custody, according to the press release.  An Investigator was injured while taking Saxton into custody and was later treated for minor injuries. Charges for Whipple: One felony count and one misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Charges for Brewer: One misdemeanor count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. Charges for Saxton: One count of Obstructing governmental administration, One count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, One count of Resisting Arrest  - all misdemeanors, and One count of Assault in the 2nd Degree - with Intent Cause Injury to Officer, a felony.

Investigation into the matter led to the arrest of Julia H. Kim (age 33) of Halfmoon, who was charged with assault in the 2nd degree (class D felony) and criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree (class A misdemeanor).
