SARATOGA SPRINGS — The Flower and Fruit Mission of Saratoga Hospital welcomed over 300 guests to their sold-out Spring Luncheon on Tuesday, May 17 at the Hall of Springs. Supported by the presenting sponsor, Roohan Realty, over 100 Honorary Committee members, and over 200 guests, the event raised $17,000 which will be used to support Women’s Health Services at Saratoga Hospital. Since their founding in 1904, the Mission has raised nearly $2,000,000 for equipment, scholarships, facility improvements and nurse education.
Guests at the luncheon enjoyed a relaxed social hour, bid on beautiful container gardens and took their chance on raffle prizes before sitting down to a delicious meal at tables decorated by Samantha Nass Floral Designs. Two talented Saratoga Springs High School seniors were recognized and presented with scholarships. Katherine Hachenski was awarded the Philly Dake Memorial Award and will attend the University of Minnesota to pursue a bachelor of science in nursing. Anitza Parilla, who will attend Siena College and Albany Medical College to pursue a medical degree, was awarded the Angelo Calbone Scholarship given this year in honor of retiring Saratoga Hospital CEO Angelo Calbone.
