An unknown nurse rushed to his side and stayed with him until paramedics arrived. He was flown to Albany Medical Center due to the injuries sustained from the accident, passing away a few hours later with his birth mother, his Nana and his brother by his side.
Born October 20, 1992, in Vero Beach, Florida, he was the son of James Price of Santan Valley, Arizona and Morgan Smith of Clifton Park.
Matt graduated from Highland High School in Mesa, Arizona, proudly doing four years of Army Junior ROTC.
He was currently employed as a “hot walker” at the Saratoga Flat Track and also worked at Best Buy in Wilton.
Matt enjoyed video games, his candy, horses, the military and most of all his family.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Art and Elaine Price; and his maternal grandfather, William “Pop” St. John Sr.
Survivors besides his parents include two brothers, Travis Price of Arizona and Brandon Price of Clifton Park; his grandmother, Mecleta “Nana” Smith of Clifton Park ; one nephew, Calen Matthew McKeever of Baltimore, Maryland.; and by many close friends.
A private memorial service will be held for Matthew on Tuesday, August 27 at the Saratoga Flat Track. A public service will be held at a later date to be announced.
The family wishes to thank everyone that helped Matthew Friday night: the nurse, the first responders, the Medivac and the staff at Albany Medical Center.
The family suggests that memorials take the form of donations to a fund to offset expenses at Saratoga National Bank, 386 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park, NY 12065, or at any branch of Saratoga National Bank. Arrangements are under the direction of the Densmore Funeral Home Inc., 7 Sherman Ave., Corinth.
