GREENWICH — Timothy Mullen, 70, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21 at his summer residence in Saratoga Springs.
Born on October 12, 1942 in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of the late Gerald and Rita (Brown) Mullen.
Tim was a Lieutenant of the Saratoga Springs Fire Department, retiring in 1987. He then owned and operated Mullens Tree Service. He was a life member of the Saratoga Springs Fraternal Order of Eagles, serving as President for five years. Tim also was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post No. 70 and Greenwich Elks Lodge No. 2223. He was very devoted to the Eagles Club and his favorite pastime was playing cards with all his friends there.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his two sisters, Rose Guby and Catherine Broughton.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Ruth Ann (Foster) Mullen; one sister, Peg Jeram of Saratoga Springs; seven children, John Mullen, Laurie Nazareth, Lynn Rohling, Karie Mullen, Stacy Schulderberg, Lisa Johnson and David O’Brien all of Seminole, Florida; two step-children, Christopher Fisher of Manlius and Suzette Kuzmich of Greenwich.
Relatives and friends may call from 4–7 p.m. Thursday, September 26 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway. The Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 2586 will meet at 5 p.m. for their ritual. A funeral service will be conducted at 6 p.m. by Rev. Neil Draves-Arpaia.
A celebration of Tim’s life will be at 2 p.m. Friday, September 27 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Crescent Avenue.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Charity Fund for the Community Hospice of Saratoga, 373 Crescent Ave.
