Alberta Long was a native of Charleston, SC, and was raised in Harlem, NY, and came to Saratoga 35 years ago. Mrs. Long worked and retired from Bell Atlantic Phone Company. She was an avid church member of Soul Saving Station for Every Nation, where she served in the choir, missionary and other various boards. Alberta was a proud supporter of Feed the Children. She was a very nurturing, loving mother and grandmother. Not just to her family, but to the many she adopted in the community. Alberta had agape love for all. She lived a full and blessed life and we are all better people from having her in our lives. Alberta will be sorely missed.
A celebration of Alberta’s life was held Thursday, December 15, 2011.
Burial will be with her husband, Harry, in Greenridge Cemetery.
