Robert (Bob) E. Teal, Sr.

Saratoga Springs, NY – Robert (Bob) E. Teal, Sr., 73, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011.

Bob was born and raised in Rensselaer until moving to Saratoga Springs 25 years ago. He was owner and operator of Teal’s Waste Service for 42 years, first in the Albany and Colonie areas, then relocating service to Saratoga Springs and surrounding towns.

He is predeceased by his parents, Howard P. and Lillian J. Teal, Sr.; his sister, Mildred Blount; and his brother, Howard P. Teal, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Dawn (Greenwalt) Teal; children, Colleen (David) Conti, Robert E. Teal, Jr.; step-daughters, Tara A. Shaw and Carrie (Shaw) Oliver; grandchildren, Lauren, Aiden, Jamie, Dalton and Riley; brother, Allen (Linda)Teal; and close friends, John Salvi and Grace Sheldon.

Relatives and friends may call from 5 -7 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2012, at the William J. Burke and Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 or the American Lung Association of NE New York, 155 Washington Ave., Suite 210, Albany, NY 12210.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, physician’s assistants, and staff at Saratoga Hospital ICCU unit and other departments for the excellent care and support they gave to Bob and his family.
