COURT

Robert W. Rivers, 37, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced March 8 to 1.5 to 3 years in state prison, after pleading to aggravated family offense, a felony. 

Frank J. Flinton, 33, of Ballston Spa, pleaded March 8 to criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony, and disseminating indecent materials to minors in the first-degree, a felony. Sentencing May 14. 

Shannon C. Hufstetler, 41, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced March 3 to 1 to 3 years in state prison, after pleading to felony DWI. 

Jerry Gonzalez, 37, of the Bronx, pleaded March 3 to criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth-degree, a felony, in Saratoga Springs. Sentencing May 14. 

Shannon E. Loveridge, 47, of Stillwater, was sentenced March 3 to five years of probation, after pleading to felony DWI, in Clifton Park. 

Jeremy Depasquale, 41, pleaded March 5 to attempted burglary in the third-degree, in connection with an incident in Saratoga Springs. Sentencing May 14. 

Toni L. Harris, 35, of Schenectady, was sentenced March 5 to six months in jail, after pleading to felony grand larceny, in Clifton Park.   

Michelle L. King, 46, of Glens Falls, was sentenced March 4 to 2 to 4 years in state prison, after pleading to felony vehicular assault, in Moreau. 

POLICE

Daniel Marrano, 36, of Ballston Spa, was charged March 4 in Saratoga Springs with stalking in the fourth-degree. 

Thomas Berry, 51, of Ballston Spa, was charged March 4 in Saratoga Springs with petit larceny.

Mark Desio, 35, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 4 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and two driving/ vehicle related infractions. 

Ryan K. Score, 32, of Gansevoort, was charged March 6 with aggravated DWI, AUO in the first-degree – a felony, and speeding, in connection with an alleged incident on Ballard Road in the town of Wilton. 

Carlos J. Gonzales, 33, of Schenectady, was charged March 7 in Clifton Park with felony assault, felony aggravated family offense, criminal obstruction of breathing, forcible touching, resisting arrest, obstruction of governmental administration, and criminal mischief. Gonzalez was charged following an alleged incident that occurred with a woman who was known to him. 

Ronald C. Winters, 41, of Halfmoon, was charged March 6 with felony assault and two counts – one a felony, one a misdemeanor, of criminal mischief. Winters is accused of causing serious physical injury to a woman and preventing the victim from communicating a request for emergency assistance. He is also suspected of damaging property. He was sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail, or $5,000 secured bond. 

Shannon L. Green, 37, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 1 with felony burglary, felony forgery, and the misdemeanors: petit larceny, false personation, and forgery in the third-degree. Green is accused of committing petit larceny at the Wilton Walmart after previously having been banned from the store, as well as allegedly impersonating another person at the time of arrest. 

John J. Martino, 35, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Feb. 27 with four counts of assault in the second-degree, and one count forcible touching. While incarcerated at Saratoga County Jail that same day, Martino is accused of being involved in a physical altercation with several Department of Corrections staff, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Two Corrections Officers were transported to Malta Medical Center for treatment of their injuries, and a Corrections Department Sergeant and Officer were treated at the correctional facility. Marino is at the facility in lieu of $25,000 cash, $50,000 bond, or $150,000 secured bond.

  • New York State Police The New York State Police announced that it issued 5,576 tickets during this year’s St. Patrick’s Day enforcement initiative. The campaign began on Friday, March 15, and continued until Sunday, March 17. During the campaign, funded by the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee, State Police utilized sobriety checkpoints, additional DWI patrols, and underage drinking and sales to minors detail. State Police also ticketed distracted drivers who use handheld electronic devices.
