Linton G. Morfan, 26, of Dyre Circle in Saratoga Springs, was arrested January 12 along High Rock Avenue and charged with driving while intoxicated, and operating a motor vehicle with blood-alcohol content greater than .08 percent, both Class A misdemeanors. He was also charged with leaving the scene of an auto accident and unsafe backing, both violation charges. Morgan was allegedly spotted by officers as he backed into another vehicle, located in a parking lot along Lake Avenue. He allegedly did not stop to check the damages, and continued out of the parking lot until stopped by police. He was issued a field sobriety test and taken into custody.
