Vero for City Court Judge

I am a resident of Saratoga Springs and I am pleased to write this letter in support of Judge Francine Vero, Saratoga Springs City Court Judge, who is running for election for the position she currently holds.

At the beginning of June 2016, I moved to Saratoga Springs from Manhattan, where I resided for 28 years. I was a member of the law faculty at New York University for 30 years, where I taught a variety of law courses. I am still actively engaged in the practice of International Trade Law.

I am very impressed with Judge Vero’s experience and professional background. Francine is a highly qualified and accomplished attorney. Francine Vero is the first woman to serve as Saratoga City Court Judge. She presides over a variety of civil and criminal cases and the specialized Domestic Violence Court. All civil and domestic violence matters that come before the court are assigned to Judge Vero.

Judge Vero was also a volunteer to the Adirondack Women’s Bar Association Legal Clinic to Aid Survivors of Domestic Violence. From 2012-2015 she served on the Board of Directors of Wellspring (formerly Domestic Violence Rape Crisis Services of Saratoga County).

Her academic background is equally impressive. She received her J.D. degree cum laude from Albany Law School of Union University and her B.A. degree cum laude from Providence College.

I hope you will consider voting for Francine Vero for Saratoga Springs City Court Judge on Nov. 7.
