Fish Fry Friday 
The Knights of Columbus 246 will be holding a Fish Fry on Friday, May 31, from 5 - 8 p.m.  Menu includes: fried haddock, baked haddock, or fried clams, served with French fries, Cole slaw, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce for $12. ($1 extra for take-out).  Also available for purchase will be macaroni and cheese, New England clam chowder, and choice of dessert.  KOC events are always open to the public, and your support is appreciated, as it enables the Knights to continue to do their charitable works within the community.  For questions, please call 518-584-8547.

8th Annual TUFF eNUFF Obstacle Course Challenge
Held on June 1 at the BOCES Campus located at 15 Henning Rd., Saratoga Springs, at 8:30 a.m., the event will benefit The Prevention Council. A fun, muddy adventure for both families and athletes.  Mirrors the Prevention Council’s mission of helping youth navigate life’s challenges. Two challenging courses – one for kids; one for teens/ adults. Directly involves BOCES students in Heavy Equipment, Culinary Arts, and Criminal Justice programs in course design, refreshments and event management. TUFF eNUFF is a mud-filled course with obstacles for participants to crawl under, hurdle over, wade through, and work together toward success! Spring into Summer Malta Marketplace
The Malta Department of Parks and Recreation will be hosting Spring Into Summer Malta Marketplace on Saturday, June 1, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Malta Community Center located at 1 Bayberry Drive, just off Route 9, ½ mile north of Routes 9 and 67. 60+ Vendors selling art, handmade crafts, seasonal products and more will be located on the grounds and inside for your shopping pleasure. Memorial Garden Tour
The Heritage Garden Club of Saratoga Springs in celebration of National Garden Week, June 2-8, is inviting the public to tour the Memorial Garden at Saratoga Heritage Visitor Center, 297 Broadway, on Tuesday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to noon. Members of the Heritage Garden Club have maintained the garden for 20 years which is open to the public. Master Gardeners and club members will be available to answer questions regarding the garden and plant identification. Heritage Garden Club members will also discuss the benefits of joining a garden club and how it benefits the community. A variety of club photos, events and history, as well as horticulture brochures provided by the Saratoga Co-Op Extension will be available. 75th Anniversary D-Day Remembrance and Wreath Laying
The Saratoga Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution are remembering the 75th Anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy on June 6 at noon with remembrances and wreath laying at the War Memorial in Congress Park, Saratoga Springs.  All are welcome to attend. Flag Day Celebration Weekend
Saratoga-Wilton Elks Lodge #161 and the Avant Garde Alumni Drum Corps invite you to join their Flag Day Celebration Weekend on June 7 and 8 for a special concert celebrating the music of award-winning artist, Chuck Mangione, Friday, June 7 at 7 p.m. at the Lake Ave. Elementary Auditorium. Tickets are $15 and are on sale now. Local High School Jazz Ensembles and the Avant Garde Alumni Drum Corps will be performing. This will be a sell-out concert with Chuck Mangione in attendance! On Saturday, June 8 at noon, the Saratoga-Wilton Elks Lodge #161 will hold their 52nd Annual Flag Day Parade honoring all active members and retired veterans. In addition, they will be giving special recognition in honor of the American Legion’s 100th Anniversary. The Charity Jazz Concert and Annual Elks Flag Day Parade will be a great source of family entertainment for thousands of residents in our community.

Heritage Garden Club Herb, Perennial Plant and Garden Décor Sale
Saturday, June 8, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Italian American Center, 247 Grand Ave., Saratoga Springs. A variety of perennial plants and herbs as well as garden decor and many different shapes and colors of distinctive daylilies developed by the late Stanley Saxton, a hybridizer and long-time Saratoga resident who developed and registered daylilies will be available for sale contact  

Car Show and Food Truck Event
Morris Ford presents Spina Bifida of Northeastern New York’s Car Show and Food Truck Event on June 8 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The car show is open to all cars, trucks, motorcycles of any year, make or model. Vehicle registration is a $10 donation to Spina Bifida of Northeastern New York. Spectators are free, event is open to everyone. Check out cars and enjoy great food! Goodie bags, raffles, door prizes, dash plaques, trophies are just the beginning of the fun. John’s Rolllin’ Jukebox will be spinning tunes for us all day and Herb Carter Jr. of 18 String of Trouble will be playing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vendor spaces are available for a donation of $25. 2019 HOPE Walk for the Animals
Join us on June 9 from 1-4 p.m. at High Rock Park in Saratoga Springs. We will walk from High Rock Park to Broadway, then down to Congress Park and back to High Rock Park for contests, prizes, games and lots of fun for you and your dog. All participants must register at www.hopeanimalrescue.org or at High Rock Park starting at 12:30 p.m. and must sign a waiver. It is $25 to register but this is a fundraiser so please ask your friends to sponsor you and donate to help the animals. The walker with the most pledges donated will receive an awesome prize! Pledge forms and waivers will be available at hopeanimalrescue.org. All registered walkers will get a photo, refreshments, and goodies for them and their dogs and will be able to participate in the following contests for fun prizes: Best wagging tail, dog-owner look-a-like, best dressed dog, best doggy smile, best trick, and more! The after party will have games and contests for kids and adults, vendors, a Police K9 demo, an agility course with a trainer available so your dog can give it a try, a massage therapist to massage away your sore muscles, and dog yoga, reiki, and reflexology demos. 

One Spirit, One Voice – Burnt Hills Oratorio Society
“One Spirit, One Voice” captures the power of choral music to promote well-being and to strengthen connection between people. Experience the diversity of the human voice as The Burnt Hills Oratorio Society chorus performs an array of vocal genres, including Broadway, A Cappella, gospel, and contemporary. This choral play list is bound to provide music that will stir the soul of all age groups. Joining BHOS will be The Musicians of Ma’alwyck, a chamber ensemble with harp, flute, oboe, violin, and cello. The performance is Sunday, June 9 at 4 p.m. at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, located at 400 Saratoga Rd. in Glenville.  General admission $25, senior (65+) $20, teen (13-19) $15, children 12 and under free. Help Us Save Lives
Free training on heroin/opioid overdose prevention, sponsored by the Prevention Council of Saratoga County. Held the second Tuesday every month at Healing Springs Recovery Center, located at 125 High Rock Ave., Saratoga Springs at 6 p.m. The next training is on Tuesday, June 11. Learn the signs and symptoms of heroin and opioid overdose. Learn how to us Naloxone (Narcan) to respond to an overdose. Everyone will receive an intranasal Naloxone kit as part of the training. Yaddo Garden Tours
Garden tours include sharing the history of the Trask family, the mansion and the history of Yaddo Gardens. The aura, spirituality and creative energy that permeates Yaddo is discussed. Docent-led tours begin at 11 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays beginning June 15 until September 1 and on Tuesdays during the racing season. (No tours on Travers Day). Meet at the main fountain near the entrance to the garden. Tours last about one hour; cost is $10 per person. Private docent-led garden tours may be arranged at a date and time convenient to a group. Summertime listening with Sandy Schuman on Tuesday, June 18, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Schuman, an Albany storyteller and musician, will regale his audience with a series of “Stories Every Jewish Person Should Know.” Sandy promises a fresh take on the classics and some surprising tales as well. His book of Adirondack Jewish tales is “Welcome to Chelm’s Pond.” A catered lunch follows the program. Open Forge Nights Are Back 
Get an introduction to the art of blacksmithing by visiting Adirondack Folk School, located at 1 Main St., in Lake Luzerne, on June 19 for an open forge night. An amazing demonstration by expert smith Steve Gurzler. Observing the demonstration is free and open to the public. For those who want to try their hand at blacksmithing and forge an item at open forge, there is a $20 fee to cover the cost of materials, and safety precautions must be followed – including hard shoes with no open toes, long pants, goggles (supplied) and gloves (supplied). Demo begins at 6:30 p.m. Open forge nights will be held the third Wednesday of each month, through October 16. 

Southern Saratoga Art Society Exhibits
Members of SSAS will be exhibiting throughout the area for the month of June. Be sure to visit the venues and enjoy our local artists. Center Gallery at the Clifton Park Senior Community Center, 6 Clifton Common Blvd., Clifton Park will show the works of artists Frank Coletta and Shenendehowa Art Teacher, Lisa David during June. Glen Eddy Senior Living Community, 1 Ascot Lane, Schenectady will feature in their Art Gallery artists, Jack Morgan, Maria Tsai, Rita Helie and Sherry Walkup for June and July. Mechanicville Public Library, 190 N. Main St. is showing art by Mechanicville High School Art Students for May and June. Catskill-Hudson Bank, 2452 State Route 9, Malta is showing the works of Sweta Jha during May and June.Zion Luthern Church, 153 Nott Street, Schenectady is showing art by Karen Woodin for the months of May and June.

Spring into Action and Volunteer
Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) helps recruit volunteers age 55 and older for many community organizations throughout Saratoga County. A variety of options on how you could spend your volunteer time. We will education you on what is available and help you with your placement process. Orientation is provided. Outdoor Volunteers Needed
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program-RSVP of Saratoga County recently partnered with Hudson Crossing Park. The park is centered on Champlain Canal Lock 5 Island just outside the village of Schuylerville. Volunteer opportunities include: Garden Volunteers to weed and care for plants, and Trail Volunteers to monitor the trails for litter, branches, issues. Special Event Volunteers are also needed for one-time opportunities, like the one coming up in early June for the Triathlon.
