SARATOGA SPRINGS — Equine advocate and Saratoga TODAY columnist Marilyn Lane has been awarded a Living Legacy Award by the Women’s International Center of Rancho Santa Fe, CA for her dedication to mental wellness as a result of her work with Saratoga Warhorse.
Past recipients of the Living Legacy Award include Dr. Jane Goodall, Princess Aga Khan, Lucille Ball and Dr. Jonas Salk.
In her letter of the Legacy Award notification, Bridget Brigitte McDonald III, Ph.D., president and executive director of the Women’s International Center stated “Thank you so much for all that you have done for veterans by treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with equine therapy. Not only have you vastly enriched the lives of PTSD survivors, but you help the wider community understand the profound value of our loyal equine companions.”
