SARATOGA SPRINGS — The Downtown Business Association, Chamber of Commerce, Convention and Tourism Bureau, Farmer’s Market, and Ballston Spa Business and Professional Association have partnered up to support Independents Week, July 1 through July 7, as a means to celebrate local businesses that exemplify the uniqueness of Saratoga Springs and Saratoga County.
“It’s a time to reflect on the importance of economic democracy and community self-determination by celebrating the nation’s locally owned, independent businesses and the stake each citizen has in shaping their hometown’s future,” stated American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA) Director Jennifer Rockne. AMIBA is part of a growing national movement of communities rallying to support their independent businesses and ensuring the opportunity endures to operate such a business.
Independents Week is a national campaign held annually, encompassing July 4, to engage local independent businesses and citizens in celebrating local entrepreneurs.
