Saratoga Springs Police Department

Seddy Richardson, 45, of Schenectady, was charged April 9 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and driving in the wrong direction. 

Thurman Jones III, 38, of Green Island, was charged April 9 with felony DWI, and failed to stop at a stop sign. 

Matthew Ragotskie, 31, of Saratoga Springs, was charged April 8 with trespass and resisting arrest.

William Murdick, 22, of Ballston Spa, was charged April 8 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to obey traffic control device. 

Joe Powell, 59, of Saratoga Springs, was charged April 7 with menacing, assault, criminal contempt, and criminal possession of a weapon. 

Ketia Louis, 41, of Albany, was charged April 7 with petit larceny, conspiracy, and act in manner to injure child. 

Arianna Vanness, 22, of Albany, was charged April 7 with petit larceny, conspiracy, and act in manner to injure child, and motor vehicle license violation.

Penny L. Richards, 47, of Ballston Spa, was sentenced April 11 to 1 to 3 years’ incarceration after pleading to felony grand larceny, first charged November 2022 in Saratoga Springs.

Jonni A. Koller, 48, of Hudson Falls, was sentenced April 11 to 4 months (intermittent) incarceration, and five years’ probation, after pleading to felony DWI, first charged April 2022 in Northumberland. 

John D. Stevens, 44, of Wayland, Missouri, was sentenced April 11 to 5 years’ probation, after pleading to felony criminal possession of a weapon, charged December 2022 in Clifton Park. 

Jorge L. Lopez, 41, of Moreau, was sentenced April 11 to 1 year of local incarceration, after pleading to criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second-degree. 

Sherrie Lee Criscio, 51, was sentenced to 5 years’ probation after pleading to felony DWI. 

Joshua G. Boles, 33, of Diamond, Ohio, was sentenced April 10 to 2 to 4 years’ incarceration, after pleading to criminal possession of a weapon, a felony. First charged October 2022 in Waterford. 

William D. Kunkel, 47, of Corinth, pleaded April 10 to criminal sexual act in the first-degree, first charged January 2022 in Corinth. Sentencing June 12. 

Matthew Schlegel, 37, of Petersburg, N.Y., pleaded April 13 to felony grand larceny, charged 2021 in Charlton. Sentencing June 15. 

Erica B. Shippee, 36, of Greenfield Center, was sentenced April 13 to 2 years’ incarceration, after pleading to criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

Jon A. Miles, 65, of Burnt Hills, was sentenced April 13 to 5 years’ probation, after pleading to criminal possession of stolen property. 

Thomas C. Madsen, 24, of Mechanicville, was sentenced April 13 to 4 years’ incarceration and 2 years’ post-release supervision after pleading to criminal possession of a controlled substance, and 1 year of local incarceration after pleading to felony aggravated family offense. Sentences to run concurrently. 

Bryan Pallone, 35, of Schenectady, pleaded April 13 to felony grand larceny, charged November 2022 in Halfmoon. Sentencing May 3. 

William R. Burden, 31, of Ballston Spa, pleaded April 13 to felony attempted assault, charged August 2022 in Ballston. Sentencing June 15. 

Cody J. Letourneau, 26, of Clifton Park, pleaded April 13 to failure to register as a sex offender, charged December 2022 in Malta. Sentencing June 12. 

Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office 

On April 7, at around 6:35 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Fire Road and State Route 146 in the town of Clifton Park for a report of an armed robbery involving a firearm. It was reported that property was stolen from a male at gunpoint by another male known to him. Responding units located a person in the area matching the description provided by the person who reported the robbery who was detained and later released pending further investigation. On April 8, the Sheriff’s Office arrested Steven M. Silvestri, 29, of Schenectady for falsely reporting an incident in the third-degree and making a punishable false written statement. Silvestri is accused of making a false report to law enforcement and of providing a false written statement. He was processed, released, and is due to appear in Clifton Park Town Court at a later date. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the New York State Police.

Saratoga Police

Thomas Connolly, 24, of Ballston Lake, was charged April 7 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to use headlights with windshield wipers. 

Peter Wilusz, 50, of Saratoga Springs, was charged April 6 with aggravated unlicensed operation, and operating without inspection certificate. 

George Chillis, 32, of Saratoga Springs, was charged April 5 with unlawful imprisonment. 

Jordan Branchcomb, 29, of Moreau, was charged April 3 with grand larceny and burglary. 

Steven Shedd, 37, of Saratoga Springs, was charged April 2 with petit larceny. 

Joseph Burke, 24, of Albany, was charged April 2 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and speeding violation. 

Tamzidur Rahman, 21, of Guilderland, was charged April 2 with aggravated unlicensed operation and no license plate. 

Michael Coleman, 44, of Glens Falls, was charged April 2 with harassment, resisting arrest, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal trespass. 

Mominul Haque, 24 of Cohoes, was charged April 1 with DWI and speeding. 

Bradley Torrez, 49, of Saratoga Springs, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and failed to use designated lane. 

James Tooley, 36, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 31 with DWI, speeding, failure to keep right, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. 

Saratoga County Court

Nathaniel Bradford, 37, of the town of Saratoga, was sentenced April 11 to an aggregate of 78 years to-life, following a February 2 conviction on nine counts by a trial jury relating to the repeated sexual abuse of two victims under the age of 18. 

NY State Police

On April 9, State Police of Saratoga charged Erica T. Fredette, 31, of North Creek, with three counts criminal possession of a controlled substance, and Philip M. Horowitz, 35, of Clifton Park, with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and false personation. Troopers responded to the Home2 Suites in Malta, for two individuals refusing to leave. On arrival, Troopers located the involved parties in the parking lot in a vehicle. During the interview, Troopers identified Fredette and observed a glass smoking device containing drug residue in her vehicle. The person in the vehicle’s driver’s seat gave false identifying information but was later identified as Horowitz. Both parties were found to possess multiple controlled substances. 

On April 7, State Police of Clifton Park, with the assistance of the Niskayuna Police Department and the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Quazey N. Robinson, 22, of Clifton Park, for burglary, three counts of assault, and endangering the welfare of a child. Troopers responded to an apartment in Clifton Park for the report of a disturbance. The investigation determined Robinson was reported to have forcibly entered the apartment without permission and assaulted multiple residents known to him, causing them injury. This incident occurred while a child was inside the apartment. The child was not injured. Robinson fled before law enforcement’s arrival and was located a short time later following an ambulance that was transporting one of the victims to the hospital. He was taken into custody with the assistance of the Niskayuna Police Department and Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

On April 11, State Police of Wilton arrested Jonathan A. Williams, 35, of Philadelphia, PA, for criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest. Terrell O. Boozer, 36, of Philadelphia, was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance. Troopers stopped a vehicle on I-87 in Moreau, for Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. The driver was identified as Boozer and the passenger as Williams. Further investigation discovered Williams was in possession of felony-weight narcotics and an illegal possessed loaded handgun. Williams resisted arrest but was taken into custody following a brief struggle.  Boozer was found to possess a controlled substance.

On April 11, State Police of Wilton arrested Rajesh Kumar, 33, of Queens, for sexual abuse in the first- degree. On April 6, Troopers received a complaint of unwanted sexual contact. The investigation determined while on a mass transit bus in Wilton earlier that day, Kumar reportedly had forcible unwanted sexual contact with the victim. Kumar was arraigned at the Wilton Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash or a $20,000 bond.

Saratoga Springs Police Department

Nicholas Crupi, 31, of Saratoga Springs, was charged April 3 with petit larceny. 

David Williams, 34, of Victory Mills, was charged April 3 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and obstructing traffic at intersection. 

Justin Traver, 34, of Ballston Spa, was charged March 30 with grand larceny. 

Tasha Tatsey, 39, of Lake Luzerne, was charged March 29 with criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

Randy Jones, 55, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 28 with criminal trespass, and resisting arrest.

Terri Flewelling, 37, of Glens Falls, was charged March 27 with DWI, and drinking alcohol or smoking cannabis in a motor vehicle on HWY. 

George Chillis, 32, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 27 with criminal mischief, and unlawful imprisonment. 

Bretton Hill, 35, of Petersburg, was charged March 26 with criminal possession of a weapon. 

Brian Ausfeldt, 35, of Clifton Park, was charged March 26 with DWI, and failed to use designated lane. 

Tyrell Jackson, 43, of Schenectady, was charged March 26 with menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon. 

Jordan Sartin, 24, of Greenfield, was charged March 24 with criminal mischief, and criminal contempt. 

Marlene Alfonso, 62, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 24 with DWI. 

Nicholas Gallo, 28, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 24 with DWI, aggravated DWI, speeding, and criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

Saratoga County Court

Daniel Canty, 52, of Middle Grove, pleaded March 27 to felony DWI, charged January 2023 in Saratoga Springs. Sentencing May 31. 

Todd J. Whitcher, 43, of Mechanicville, was sentenced April 4 to 5 years of probation, after pleading to felony DWI charged August 2022 in Saratoga Springs. 

Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department

Shawn M. Soderberg, 47, of Saratoga Springs, was charged April 3 with criminal possession of a weapon – felony, and menacing, a misdemeanor. Soderberg is accused of threatening another person with a machete, following the Sheriff’s Office responding to a disturbance call at the Saratoga Lake Motel in the town of Saratoga. He was sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of bail or bond. 

On March 25, 2023, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office charged Joseph Murauskas, 44, of Corinth with felony assault, in connection with an alleged physical domestic dispute in the Town of Corinth. Murauskas is accused of physically assaulting a female victim causing serious physical injury to the victim’s head and face. The victim was treated on scene by Luzerne-Hadley EMS, transported to Saratoga Hospital for further medical attention and was ultimately cared for at Albany Medical Center. Murauskas was arraigned in Corinth Town Court and sent to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility in lieu of $40,000 cash/$80,000 bond/$800,000 partially secured bond. 

Beatriz A. Garcia, 43, of Mechanicville, was sentenced March 30 to 5 years of probation, after pleading to felony attempted assault. 

Justice D. Ross, 25, of Schenectady, was sentenced March 30 to 2 to 4 years’ incarceration felony attempted assault, first charged in 2022 in Milton. 

William D. Mansfield, 43, of Schaghticoke, pleaded March 31 to felony DWI, charged May 2022 in Stillwater. Sentencing June 1.   

Michael A. McCleary, 35, of Hadley, was turned over to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office on March 27 on an outstanding warrant for failure to register a change of address as a sex offender – 2nd offense, a felony. 

On April 6, the Sheriff’s Office charged Daniel Rivera, 35, of Wilton with burglary, criminal contempt, and criminal mischief – all three are felonies, and harassment violation. The Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in Louden Oaks Mobile Home Park in the Town of Wilton for a reported burglary in progress. Investigation revealed that Rivera allegedly forced his way into the victim’s residence, violated an active order of protection and caused damage to items inside the residence. The victim and defendant were familiar with each other. He was sent to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.

Justin Mechanick, 42, of Ballston Spa, was charged March 19 with DWI, aggravated DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and moving from lane unsafely. 

Brianna Craig, 24, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 19 with criminal contempt.

Nicholas Bush, 44, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 18 with DWI, and two driving-related violations. 

Thomas Zucco, 32, of Warwick, Maryland, was charged March 18 with harassment. 

Kathina Duncan, 42, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 17 with harassment. 

James Brush, 47, of Malta, was charged March 23 with criminal mischief, burglary, and grand larceny. 

Augustus Balsamo, 39, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 23 with criminal trespass. 

Zachary Michaels, 28, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 23 with menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon. 

Mitchell Norris, 27, of Rensselaer, was charged March 23 with DWI, and three driving-related violations. 

Ronald Dragoset, 37, of Clifton Park, was charged March 22 with criminal contempt. 

Kevin Cuva, 50, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 22 with criminal contempt, and aggravated family offense. 

Rita Young, 51, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 21 with DWI, aggravated DWI, and two driving-related violations.

Kobe Rockwell, 24, of Apex, North Carolina, was charged March 21 with tampering with physical evidence, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, and burglary. 

Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office

Jacob E. Krall, 19, of Ballston Spa, was charged with assault in the second-degree in connection with an incident alleged to have occurred on March 19 in the town of Milton. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office and Community Emergency Corps were dispatched to a report of a 3-month-old child in respiratory distress. The child was treated on scene and transported to the hospital by EMS with serious injuries, according to police. Krall is accused of violently assaulting the 3-month-old child resulting in serious physical injuries. Krall was arraigned and sent to Saratoga County Jail on bail. 

On March 21, Kevin Q. Tanksley, 33, of Albany, was charged with assault in the second-degree. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to an in-progress disturbance occurring at the Stewart’s Shop at 1403 Route 9 in the Town of Halfmoon involving 3 males. It is alleged Tanksley deployed a knife during the altercation and used it to cause physical injury to a 20-year-old Clifton Park man who was subsequently hospitalized for his injuries. 

Alexander McFadden, 54, of Malta was charged March 26 with felony Assault, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon, in connection with a disturbance involving two males at the Budget Inn on Route 9 in the town of Malta. McFadden is accused of deploying a knife during the altercation causing injuries to the victim’s head and arm. The victim was treated on scene by Malta-Stillwater EMS and refused further medical attention. McFadden was arraigned in Malta Town Court and sent to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility with no bail.

On March 24, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Millington, 23, of Greenfield, for official misconduct and reckless endangerment in the second-degree, both misdemeanors. While employed as a Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office Correction Officer Michael Millington is accused, without authorization, of providing confidential information to a county jail inmate which created a substantial risk of injury to another person. Millington was released on appearance tickets and is due back in Milton Town Court at a later date to answer the charges. Millington has been suspended from the Sheriff’s Office pending a disciplinary hearing.

Saratoga County Court

Robert E. Brown, 44, of Wildwood, New Jersey, pleaded March 22 to felony burglary, first charged October 2022 and June 2021 in Malta. Sentencing May 24. 

Damean Atkins, 39, of Ballston Spa, pleaded March 22 to felony burglary, first charged January 2023 in Ballston Spa. 

Angelo J. Zeoli, 43, of Troy, was sentenced March 22 to 2 to 4 years incarceration, after pleading to felony grand larceny, first charged in Wilton. 

Anthony Duggan, 26, of Hebron, pleaded March 21 to felony rape, first charged January 2022 in Moreau. Sentencing May 23. 

Ernest Skellie, 31, of Queensbury, pleaded March 21 to felony grand larceny, first charged June 2022 in Malta. Sentencing May 12. 

Jasir Chambers, 25, of Ballston Spa, pleaded March 21 to felony burglary, and menacing- a misdemeanor, first charged October 2022. Sentencing April 28.

Joshua E. Pelletier, 33, of Gansevoort, pleaded March 16 to felony DWI, first charged Dec. 31, 2022 in the town of Wilton. Sentencing May 18. 

Trever M. Murphy, 42, of Norfolk, Virginia, was sentenced March 17 to 1 to 3 years’ incarceration, after pleading to felony grand larceny, first charged October 2022 in Saratoga Springs. 

Sylvester Flora, 26, of Schenectady, pleaded March 17 to felony criminal possession of property, first charged December 2022 in Clifton Park. Sentencing May 18. 

Trevor Gould, 33, of Mechanicville, pleaded March 17 to felony criminal possession of a weapon, first charged December 2022 in Malta. Sentencing May 19.

Saratoga Springs Police Dept

Ursula Mangir, 33, of Argyle, was charged March 16 with criminal contempt. 

Amani Minix, 18, of Hudson Falls, was charged March 15 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating without stop lamps, and failure to use signal lights.

Joanna Bedford, 31, of Stillwater, was charged March 14 with grand larceny, and petit larceny. 

Danielle Dennison, 36, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 14 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating without adequate lights. 

Eryn Kelley, 37, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 14 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and an equipment violation. 

Bradford Bayer, 36, of Greenfield Center, was charged March 12 with criminal contempt, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon.

Carolyn Lyons, 39, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 11 with DWI, aggravated DWI, speed not reasonable, and moved from lane unsafely. 

NY State Police

On March 16, State Police of Clifton Park arrested Brendan J. Ryder, 28, of Cohoes, who was subsequently charged with Making a Terroristic Threat, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Police say on March 15, at about 2:30 p.m., Troopers responded to a childcare center in Clifton Park, for a report of a bomb threat. Following an investigation, Ryder is suspected  of having called the center and stated, “bomb threat.” The staff at the center activated their well-developed emergency response plan and removed the children and staff from the building to a safe location. The building was searched with the assistance of K9 officers and found to be safe. No one was injured during the incident, and no explosive materials were located. Ryder was processed at SP Clifton Park. He was arraigned at the Clifton Park Town Court and sent to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail.

On March 15, 2023, State Police of Wilton arrested David C. Fuller, 59, of Moreau, who was subsequently charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third-degree. Police say on March 11, at about 11:47 p.m., Troopers responded to a home in Moreau, for the reports of a domestic dispute. On arrival, the victim exited the home and advised Fuller was still inside and threatened the use of a firearm to injure Law Enforcement. After a brief period, Fuller came out of the home and was taken into custody. Further investigation located an illegally-possessed noncompliant rifle and a high-capacity magazine within the home, according to authorities. The firearms, along with additional legally-owned firearms, were seized as a result of a court order. Fuller was processed at SP Wilton on March 15, and was arraigned at the Moreau Town Court and sent to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail, $5,000 bond or $10,000 partially secured bond. 

Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office

On March 19, at about 7:40 p.m., Sheriff’s Deputies and EMS responded to 157 Howe Road in the town of Greenfield for the report of a female with a gunshot wound to the head. It was reported that Joseph R. Cuva Sr., 74, had just finished cleaning his 9 MM pistol and was loading it when the gun discharged striking his wife, 74-year-old Charlene F. Cuva in the head killing her. Mrs. Cuva was in another room of the home when she was struck and the bullet passed through a wall before striking her, police said. The investigation into the death is on-going.

March 18 – March 24, 2023

Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office 

On March 3, the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit charged Douglas B. Williams, 37, of Halfmoon, with assault in the second-degree, a felony. Williams is accused of striking and injuring a child less than 7 years of age in the town of Halfmoon in February. He was released on his own recognizance with a Temporary Order of Protection issued on behalf of the victim, who is related to Williams. He is due back in the Halfmoon Town Court in April.

On March 11, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office charged Tammy L. Mahan, 52, of Hudson Falls, with felony burglary and misdemeanor petit larceny. Mahan is accused of unlawfully entering a residence and stealing a video camera.

In a joint investigation involving the Saratoga County, Warren County and Washington County Sheriff’s Offices, David T. Henderson, Hernandez J. Hayes and Kristin M. Lamb were charged in connection with suspected drug charges on March 12.  All three subjects are accused of possessing large quantities of cocaine with the intent to sell. Hayes was additionally charged with possession of fentanyl pills. A search warrant was executed on a vehicle on Interstate 87, in the town of Halfmoon. As a result of the investigation and search warrant execution, authorities said approximately 465 grams (over 16 ounces) of cocaine, 16 grams of fentanyl pills, and U.S. currency were seized. David T. Henderson, 46, of Fort Edward, was charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Hernandez J. Hayes, 48, of NY, NY, was charged with three felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Kristin M. Lamb, 33, of Ballston Spa, was charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.  All were arraigned and sent to Saratoga County Jail without bail, pending further action on the matter. 

Saratoga Springs Police

Austin Bayliss, 39, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 10 with DWI.

Stephen Clark, 41, of Stillwater, was charged March 9 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and a vehicle equipment violation.

Scott McVey, 51, of Ballston Spa, was charged March 8 with DWI, speeding, operating without an inspection certificate, and making an illegal signal. 

Steven Welch, 40, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 8 with criminal contempt, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and aggravated family offense. 

Cody McCumber,  24, of Watervliet, was charged March 8 with public lewdness. 

Stephanie Shriner, 43, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 8 with criminal contempt. 

Tyquan Simon, 30, of Troy, was charged March 8 with criminal impersonation. 

Teryn Loverme, 33, of Cambridge, was charged March 7 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and a vehicle equipment violation.

Jessica Henderson, 36, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 6 with aggravated unlicensed operation, and registration suspended violation. 

Christopher Cira, 64, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 6 with aggravated unlicensed operation, and operating vehicle with unsafe tires. 

Sean Bergin, 51, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 6 with DWI, refusal to take breath test, and failed to stop at a stop sign. 

Marlin Turner, 39, of Milton, was charged March 5 with DWI, and failure to keep right. 

Derek Radz, 52, of Nassau, was charged March 4 with criminal mischief.

Nicholas P. Lesson, was sentenced March 6 to 6 years’ incarceration after pleading to attempted rape in the first-degree, and 1 year incarceration after pleading to felony burglary. Sentences to run concurrently. 

Crim S. Trerise, 57, of Middle Grove, pleaded March 6 to sexual abuse in the first-degree, first charged June – August 2017, in Greenfield. Sentencing May 8. 

Saratoga Springs Police

Corey Masi, 22, of Glenville, was charged March 2 in connection with numerous suspected burglaries that occurred June 2022 throughout Saratoga Springs. In all, seven businesses had been burglarized, according to city police. Masi was charged with 7 counts felony burglary, 2 misdemeanor counts criminal mischief, and 2 misdemeanor counts petit larceny.

Angel Fortis-Galarza, 29, of Hartford, Connecticut, was charged March 2 with DWI, and 7 additional various driving-related offenses. 

Darren Crevar, 42, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 1 with criminal mischief, assault, menacing, and criminal obstruction of breathing. 

John Valentin, 27, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 1 with criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

Timothy Everhardt, 29, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 1 with assault, menacing, criminal mischief, criminal contempt, criminal obstruction of breathing, and act in manner injure child less than 17. 

Austin Foley, 24, of Saratoga Springs, was charged March 1 with aggravated unlicensed operation. 

William Durfee, 38, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Feb. 28 with obstruct governmental administration, and false impersonation. 

Christopher Town, 25, of Johnstown, was charged Feb. 26 with DWI, and driving wrong direction down one-way street. 

Ryen Van Hall, 35, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Feb. 25 with DWI, and 2 driving-related violations. 

Lisa McGrail, 52, of Delmar, was charged Feb. 24 with assault. 

Christopher Nichols, 31, of Wilton, was charged Feb. 24 with criminal trespass. 

Richard Janes, 43, of Ballston Spa, was charged Feb. 24 with criminal possession of stolen property. 

Douglas Bagley, 34, of Waterford, was charged Feb. 20 with aggravated family offense, aggravated criminal contempt, aggravated unlicensed operation, and making an improper left turn. 

NY State Police

On March 3, 2023, State Police in Clifton Park charged James J. Forgett, 52, of Malta, with predatory sexual assault against a child, a felony. Forgett is accused of having had sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 13 beginning in 2017. Forgett was previously arrested for disseminating indecent material to a minor in the first degree in 2019 and is a registered sexual offender.

On March 3, State Police charged Philip Spergel, 32, of Clifton Park, with four counts of criminal sex act in the third-degree and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Spergel is accused of having had sexual contact with a person under the age of 17 in the town of Colonie, and the town of Brunswick. 

On March 6, State Police of Clifton Park charged Pamela I. Backus, 49, of Greenfield, with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth-degree, DWI, and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

March 4 – March 10, 2023

Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office

On Feb. 20, members of the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit arrested Charles W. Semzock, 36, of Greenfield, after an investigation into a reported attempted sexual assault in the town of Greenfield which had allegedly occurred Feb. 12. Semzock is accused of assaulting an adult female while the two were at a party of friends following the Super Bowl. He was charged with attempted criminal sexual act in the first-degree, strangulation in the second-degree, unlawful imprisonment, and assault, and held in the custody in lieu of $25,000/$50,000/$100,000 bail, pending return to court at a later date.

Saratoga County Court 

Kaiah E. All, 24, of Corinth, was sentenced Feb. 22 to 5 years probation, after pleading to criminal possession of a controlled substance, first charged October 2021 in Malta. 

Justin D. Traver, 34, of Malta, was sentenced Feb. 22 to 2 months incarceration and 5 years probation, after pleading to felony grand larceny, first charged Augusts 2021 in Ballston Spa. 

Gabriel E. Spring, 45, of Corinth, pleaded Feb. 22 to strangulation in the second-degree, a felony. Sentencing June 1. 

Caren M. Monahan, 31, of Hudson Falls, was sentenced Feb. 22 to 4 years incarceration, and 3 years post-release supervision, after pleading to criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, first charged October 2022 in Moreau. 

Eugene F. Wachtel, 56, of Scotia, was sentenced Feb. 22 to 1.5 to 3 years incarceration, after pleading to felony attempted burglary, first charged October 2021 in Wilton. 

Erika T. Brown, 44, of New York, NY, was sentenced to 3.5 years incarceration and 2 years post--release supervision, after pleading to felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, first charged September 2022 in Moreau.

John D. Stevens, 44, of Wayland, Missouri, pleaded Feb. 24 to felony criminal possession of a weapon, first charged December 2022 in Clifton Park. Sentencing April 7. 

Cole M. Bowman, 23, of Mechanicville, pleaded Feb. 24 to felony criminal possession of a weapon. Sentencing April 28. 

Christopher D. Brewer, 41, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded Feb. 24 to attempted burglary in the third-degree, a felony, first charged December 2022 in Ballston Spa. Sentencing April 28.

Scott E. Barnes, 36, of Norwalk, Connecticut, pleaded Feb. 24 to aggravated DWI with child, a felony, first charged July 2022 in Wilton. Sentencing April 28. 

Tabatha J. Heitzmann, 42, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded Feb. 24 to felony attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance. Sentencing April 28. 

James I. Price, 45, of Ballston Spa, pleaded Feb. 24 to felony DWI, first charged January 2023 in Saratoga Springs. Sentencing April 28. 

Jeremy Allen, 34, of Mechanicville, pleaded Feb. 24 to failure to register as a sex offender. Sentencing May 19. 

Raymond Perez, Jr., 33, of New York City, pleaded Feb. 23 to felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, first charged April 2022 in Moreau. Sentencing April 28. 

NY State Police 

On Feb. 18, State Police of Saratoga arrested John A. Matrazzo, 21, of Ballston, and Charles B. Mccormack III, 22, of Ballston Spa, each for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations, after troopers responded to the report of a motorcycle crash in the area of Lake Road in Ballston.  Matrazzo was located and assisted until EMS arrived. The investigation determined Matrazzo and Mccormack III were each operating a dirt bike on the roadway when Matrazzo crashed and suffered injuries.  Matrazzo was transported to Ellis Hospital and arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Mccormack III was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated on scene and transported to SP Saratoga, where he refused to provide a sample to determine the alcohol content of his blood, according to police. He was issued tickets returnable to the Ballston Town Court on March 16 and released to a sober third party. Matrazzo reported to SP Saratoga on Feb. 20 for processing. He is due back in the Ballston Town Court on March 14. 

On March 1, State Police of Latham arrested Anthony P. Goodspeed, 20, of South Glens Falls, with the charges of: reckless endangerment in the first-degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth-degree, menacing in the second-degree, and criminal mischief in the fourth-degree. On Nov. 24, troopers responded to the I-87 in Colonie, for the reports of shots fired from a moving vehicle at a moving vehicle.  The investigation determined Goodspeed was operating a vehicle when he fired a BB pellet from a BB gun, striking and breaking the window of another vehicle.  He then left the location.  No one was injured during the incident. The BB gun was located at Goodspeed’s home, police said.

Todd Cleveland, Jr., 33, of Fort Edward, was sentenced Feb. 16 to 2 to 6 years’ incarceration, after pleading to promoting sexual performance by a child, first charged May 2021 in Moreau. 

Adrianne D. Liedel, 21, of Ballston Spa, was sentenced to 1 to 3 years’ incarceration, after pleading to vehicular manslaughter in the second-degree first charged March 15. 

Jonathan A. Edwards, 25, of Salem, pleaded Feb. 17 to criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth-degree, first charged October 2022 in Moreau. Sentencing April 21. 

Jonathan M. Aronson, 51, of Greenfield, was sentenced Feb. 17 to 3-1/2 years’ incarceration, and 15 years post-release supervision, after pleading to attempted rape in the first-degree, first charged January 2021.

February 18 – February 24, 2023

Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office 

On Feb. 7, members of the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested Andrew Kenyon, Hannah L. Shattuck, Angela C. Burke and Jason M. Hartman after the Narcotics Unit, Criminal Investigations Unit, Special Operations Team and the US Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Agency (ATF) executed a search warrant on Fayville Road, Providence. As a result of the investigation and search warrant, scales, packaging material, crack cocaine, heroin, multiple cell phones, pills, steroids and firearms were seized. Two of the firearms were recently reported stolen within Saratoga County and reported to the Sheriff’s Office. Hartman, Burke, Kenyon, and Shattuck were each charged with one count criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second-degree, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh-degree. Kenyon and Shattuck were additionally charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third-degree, a felony. 

Albert J. Hall, 43, of Gansevoort, was charged Feb. 10 with two felony counts criminal sale of a controlled substance, four felony counts criminal possession of a controlled substance, and two misdemeanor counts criminal use of drug paraphernalia, following the execution of a search warrant in the town of Moreau.  Hall is accused of selling and possessing quantities of crack/ cocaine on numerous occasions within Saratoga County, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Casey R. Mohan, 35, of Halfmoon, was charged Feb. 7 following a lengthy investigation of several reported incidents spanning back to September 2022. Mohan is accused of stealing two motor vehicles, one motorcycle and two long guns between September 2022 and February, 2023. In one case he also allegedly entered a camp to steal the items. Mohan was charged with: (Greenfield) two counts grand larceny (motor vehicles), one count grand larceny (firearm), criminal possession of stolen property, and endangering the welfare of a child; (Milton) criminal possession of stolen property, and petit larceny; (Providence) burglary, grand larceny (firearm), and grand larceny (motor vehicle).  Mohan was sent to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 Cash Bail / $50,000 Bond / $250,000 Partially Secured.

Tyler S. Moon, 37, of Greenfield, was sentenced Feb. 14 to 2 to 4 years in state prison, after pleading to felony grand larceny, first charged June 2022 in Corinth. 

Tracy P. Whipple, 41, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded Feb. 14 to felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, first charged June 2022 in Wilton. 

Allison L. Bechtold, 46, of Albany, pleaded Feb. 14 to felony DWI, first charged in Clifton Park October 2022. Sentencing April 11. 

Penny L. Richards, 47, of Ballston Spa, pleaded Feb. 14 to felony grand larceny, first charged in Saratoga Springs October 2022. Sentencing April 11. 

Jonni A. Koller, 48, of Hudson Falls, pleaded Feb. 14 to felony DWI, first charged in Northumberland April 2022. Sentencing April 11. 

Robert A. Mancucci, III, 40, of Stillwater, was sentenced Feb. 10 to 2 to 4 years incarceration, after pleading to felony grand larceny first charged in Mechanicville May 2022.
