BALLSTON SPA — Ballston Spa Central School District residents interested in being a member of the Board of Education (BOE) need to submit a petition by 5 p.m. on April 18, 2022, to be included on the May 17, 2022, ballot. Candidates must be a citizen of the United States, 18 years or older, not an employee of the District, and a resident of the District for a continuous period of one year prior to May 17, 2022. There are currently two seats available on the BOE, starting a three-year term in July 2022. Nominating petitions will be available from the District Clerk on March 15, 2022. The petitions need to be submitted with the full name, address, and signatures of the candidate and 26 qualified voters of the District.
