Loreal D. Bass, 41, of Schenectady, was sentenced Feb. 18 to 2 to 4 years incarceration, after pleading to felony grand larceny, in Saratoga Springs. 

Kyle D. Baker, 37, of Warrensburg, was sentenced Feb. 18 to 1-1/2 to 3 years incarceration, after pleading to felony attempted criminal mischief, in Day. 

Shawn R. Bultman, 41, of Northumberland, was sentenced Feb. 18 to 10 years incarceration, and 5 years post-release supervision, after pleading to attempted assault in the first-degree, in Wilton. 

Brandi Z. Harper, 28, of the Bronx, pleaded Feb. 18 to attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, in Wilton. Sentencing Feb. 18. 

Victor A. Guilianelle, 53, of Mechanicville, pleaded Feb. 18 to failure to register as a sex offender, in Malta. Sentencing April 15. 

Jeffrey E. Tennyson, 49, of Moreau, was sentenced Feb. 16 to 5 years of probation, after pleading to felony DWI.

Amier K. Grant, 31, of Albany, pleaded Feb. 16 to attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, in Wilton. Sentencing May 18. 

Ava Maddalla, 21, of Schenectady, pleaded Feb. 15 to attempted grand larceny, a felony, in Malta. Sentencing April 12. 

John Martino, 36, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded Feb. 14 to felony assault. Sentencing April 5. 

POLICE

Bryan M. Young, 24, of Clifton Park, was charged Feb. 14 with felony criminal contempt, one menacing misdemeanor, and harassment in the second degree, a violation. He is accused of violating an order of protection by spitting on a person and by threatening them with a part of a stove, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. 

Austin S. Griffith of Gansevoort was charged Feb. 13 by State Police in Wilton with felony burglary, felony criminal mischief, petit larceny misdemeanor, and harassment, a violation. 

Nicholas Edwards, 22, of Granville, was charged in Saratoga Springs Feb. 7 with criminal mischief. 

Miguel Reyes, 24, of Fort Edward, was charged in Saratoga Springs Feb. 8 with criminal mischief. 

Christopher Barry, 39, of Greenfield, was charged in Saratoga Springs Feb. 9 with criminal contempt. 

Tarah Horan, 34, of Mechanicville, was charged in Saratoga Springs Feb. 10 with misdemeanor DWI, refusal to take breath test, and moving from lane unsafely. 

Jolund Miller, 30, of Albany, was charged in Saratoga Springs Feb. 10 with misdemeanor DWI, speeding, and crossing road hazard markings. 

George Murray, 38, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Feb. 11 with assault. 

Stephen Struss, 31, of Albany, was charged in Saratoga Springs Feb. 11 with misdemeanor DWI, speeding, and refusal to take a breath test. 

Conner Ladabouche, 21, of Rutland, Vermont, was charged in Saratoga Springs Feb. 8 with assault, resisting arrest, criminal tampering, burglary and making a false report. 

Jon Morse, 26, of Minneola, Florida, was charged in Saratoga Springs Feb. 11 with assault. 

Jose Fernandez, 23, of Amsterdam, was charged in Saratoga Springs Feb. 12 with disorderly conduct: fight/violent behavior. 

Owen Ponda, 22, of Warrensburg, was charged in Saratoga Springs Feb. 12 with misdemeanor DWI, failure to obey traffic control device, and vehicle equipment violation. 

Kameron Mattison, 21, of Hudson Falls, was charged in Saratoga Springs Feb. 13 with disorderly conduct: fight/violent behavior. 

On Feb. 12, New York State Police conducted an Underaged Drinking Enforcement Detail in Saratoga County. During the initiative 20 businesses were checked for compliance. One person was charged with Unlawful Dealing with a Child, after selling alcohol to persons under the age of 21. During these investigations, establishments are checked utilizing a trooper in plainclothes, and one or several underage operatives who cannot lie about their age or give a false date of birth. When asked for ID, they show their real ID. The following businesses were NOT in compliance under the New York Beverage Control Law Section 65, Prohibited Sale to Person Under the Age of 21: Saratoga Wine & Spirits, Maple Ave, Saratoga Springs. February 5 – February 11, 2022

COURT 

Cynthia L. Ferendzo, 63, of Burnt Hills, pleaded Feb. 7 to felony DWI, in the town of Ballston. 

Justin M. Lebarron, 37, of Gansevoort, was sentenced to 3 years incarceration and 3 years post-release supervision, after pleading to two felony counts assault in the second-degree. Lebarron was also sentenced to 1 year incarceration, after pleading to attempted criminal possession of a weapon. Lebarron was initially charged July 27, 2021 in the town of Day with four counts felony assault, two counts misdemeanor assault, five counts aggravated family offense, and two counts each: unlawful imprisonment, aggravated harassment, and endangering the welfare of a child. The sentences are to run concurrently. 

Ivan Joy, 54, of Fort Edward, was sentenced Feb. 10 to 1-1/2 to 3 years incarceration, after pleading to criminal contempt in the first-degree, in Moreau. 

Justin J. Jewett, 32, of Albany, pleaded Feb. 10 to burglary in the third-degree, in Halfmoon. Sentencing April 6. 

Richard Douglas Klement, 35, of Schenectady, pleaded Feb. 10 to 2 counts criminal contempt in the first-degree, in Waterford. Sentencing April 6. 

Isaiah Germaine-Boone, 21, of Schenectady, was sentenced Feb. 9 to 5 years of probation, after pleading to attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, in Wilton. 

Mark E. Herbert, III, 38, of Averill Park, pleaded Feb. 9 to felony grand larceny, in Mechanicville. Sentencing April 13. 

Jai’Anthony D. Holley, 30, of Lake City, Florida, was sentenced Feb. 9 to 5 years of probation, after pleading to criminal possession of a firearm, a felony, in Moreau. 

Khalil Hankins, 26, of Colonie, was sentenced to 1-1/3 to 4 years’ incarceration after pleading to felony burglary, in Malta. 

Dean Atwell, 33, of Mechanicville, pleaded Feb. 4 to attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, in Corinth. Sentencing April 1. 

Matthew S. Lawrence, 25, of Corinth, was sentenced Feb. 4 to 6 months incarceration and 5 years of probation, after pleading to misdemeanor DWI, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

John K. Williams, III, 40, of Troy, pleaded Feb. 4 to two counts felony grand larceny – one each in Halfmoon, and in Wilton. Sentencing April 1. 

Brian Ramirez-Ortiz, 33, of Ballston Lake, pleaded Feb. 4 to felony criminal mischief, in Malta. Sentencing March 25. 

POLICE

Jeffrey Little, 38, of Essex Junction, VT, was charged in Saratoga Springs Feb. 6 with rape in the third degree.

Alfredo V. Lebron-Rivera, 27, of Schenectady, was charged Feb. 8 with two counts criminal possession of a controlled substance, and one count promoting prison contraband in the first-degree. He is accused of being in possession of two separate controlled substances while incarcerated at Saratoga County Jail on separate charges. 

Allana Brewer, 30, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Feb. 5 with menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon. 

Danielle Dennison, 35, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Feb. 6 with DWI, following too closely, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Darik Decker, 43, of New York Mills, was charged in Saratoga Springs Feb.  6 with criminal trespass.

Raki Johnson, 23, of Schenectady, was charged in Saratoga Springs Feb. 6 with disorderly conduct.

Paul F. Haggerty, 39, of Greenfield, was sentenced to 3 months incarceration, after pleading to felony reckless endangerment.

Artiqua J. Dubois, 29, no published address, was sentenced to 5 days incarceration and 5 years of probation, on the charge of attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third-degree, in Wilton. 

Steven P. McCarthy, 44, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded Jan. 28 to felony DWI, in connection with a June 2021 charge in Saratoga Springs. Sentencing July 18. 

Samuel Brown, 44, of Mechanicville, was sentenced Jan. 28 to 1-3 years’ incarceration, after pleading to felony DWI.

Dalton-James L. Remines, 28, of Galway, was sentenced Jan. 28 to 2 years’ incarceration, and 3 years of probation in connection with a second-degree assault charge in Milton, 1-3 years’ incarceration in connection with a second-degree attempted assault charge in Wilton, 1-3 years’ incarceration criminal mischief in Charlton, and 1 year criminal contempt in Galway.  Sentences to run concurrently.  

Don E. Weis, 29, of Schenectady, pleaded Jan. 28 to criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a felony, in Wilton. Sentencing Feb. 28. 

Richard Tifft, 50, of Queensbury, pleaded Jan. 28 to failure to register as a sex offender, in Moreau. Sentencing April 1.   

POLICE

Michal Ziolkowski, 34, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Jan. 29 with grand larceny, DWAI, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and criminal possession of stolen property. 

Joshua C. Duchano, 39, of Saranac Lake, was charged Feb. 4 with sexual abuse in the first-degree, and unlawful surveillance in the second-degree, both felonies. Duchano is accused of subjecting a person known to him to sexual contact and recording the events with an electronic device. The alleged incidents occurred between June and November 2021.   

Machenzie Carpenter, 28, of Cohoes, was charged in Saratoga Springs Jan. 30 with disorderly conduct: Fight/Violent Behavior. 

Jamel Gray, 27, of Ballston Spa, was charged in Saratoga Springs Jan. 30 with DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, moved from lane unsafely, and criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

Antonio Martinez, 44, of Schenectady, was charged in Saratoga Springs Jan. 30 with DWI, aggravated DWI, speeding, failure to obey traffic control device, and improper turn. 

John Groves, 35, of Albany, was charged in Saratoga Springs Jan. 30 with criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, and criminal possession of controlled substance: cocaine. 

John Newtown, 43, of Enfield, CT, was charged in Saratoga Springs Jan. 28 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and moving from lane unsafely. 

Ann Khanna, 54, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Jan. 27 with criminal contempt. 

Taylor Hugo, 30, of Broadalbin, was charged in Saratoga Springs Jan. 25 with aggravated unlicensed operation.

January 22 – February 28, 2022

COURT 

Timothy J. Lenzi, 36, of Waterford, pleaded Jan. 26 to felony DWI in Halfmoon. Sentencing March 18. 

Aric E. Lemon, 42, of Watervliet, was sentenced Jan. 26 to 4 years of probation, after pleading to felony DWI in Saratoga Springs, first charged September 2020. 

Michael R. Brown, 51, of Northumberland, was arraigned at Saratoga County Court on Jan. 28 on an 11-count indictment in connection with his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run crash that occurred Sept. 24 in the area of Route 32 and Rugg Road in the town of Northumberland. Brown is accused of driving recklessly while intoxicated and striking a motorcyclist who subsequently suffered serious injuries. Brown is additionally charged with fleeing the scene. He was sent to Saratoga County Jail without bail. A court appearance has been scheduled to take place March 18. 

Kelly Lion, 53, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced Jan. 24 to 5 years of probation, after pleading to felony criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

Michelle D. Cole, 52, of Lake George, was sentenced Jan. 21 to 1-2/3 to 6 years on a DWI conviction, and 1-1/3 to 4 years on an aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle conviction of a jury trial that occurred at Saratoga County Court on Sept. 16, 2021. The terms of incarceration will run concurrently. The incident related to the charges occurred Feb. 24, 2020 in Saratoga Springs when Cole was found by a police officer unconscious behind the wheel of a car while parked. Evidence presented at trial indicated that Cole operated a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated conviction and also drove that same day while her drivers’ license was revoked dur to a prior alcohol-related driving conviction, according to Saratoga County District Attorney Karen Heggen.   

Joshua E. Greco, 31, of Gloversville, was sentenced Jan. 21 to 5 years of probation, after pleading to felony grand larceny in Ballston Spa. 

Tia M. Jubrey, 33, of Cohoes, was sentenced Jan. 21 to 2 to 4 years’ incarceration, after pleading to felony grand larceny in Clifton Park. 

Jack D. Smith, 34, of Mayfield, was sentenced Jan. 21 to 5 years of probation, after pleading to felony DWI in Galway. 

Brittaney L. Tatsey, 28, of Troy, was sentenced Jan. 21 to 3 years’ incarceration and 1 to 2 years post-release supervision, after pleading to felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, in Moreau.

Bianca Barnes, 23, of Schuylerville, was charged Jan. 23 in Saratoga Springs with DWI, refusal to take a breath test, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Nazir Ross, 25, of Albany, was charged Jan. 23 in Saratoga Springs with assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, criminal possession of a weapon, and obstructing a governmental official. 

Casey Holligan, 21, of Scotia, was charged Jan. 22 in Saratoga Springs with criminal mischief. 

Naequan Foxx, 26, of Beacon, was charged Jan. 23 in Saratoga Springs with DWI, refusal to take a breath test, and driving in the wrong direction on a one-way street. 

Aame Johnsion, 27, of Albany, was charged Jan. 23 in Saratoga Springs with disorderly conduct, and obstructing a governmental official. 

Jaqueline Aldrich, 38, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Jan. 23 with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, harassment, and obstructing a governmental official.

Joseph Manasseri, 34, of Ballston Spa, was sentenced Jan. 14 to 3 years incarceration, after pleading to rape in the second-degree, first charged in October 2020 in Milton, and 1-1/3 to 4 years incarceration, after pleading to possessing a sexual performance by child. Sentences to run concurrently.

Breanna Moore, 24, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Jan. 15 with criminal mischief.

James Cronkhite, 28, of Middle Grove, was charged Jan. 15 in Saratoga Springs with DWI, and failure to keep right.

Kianna Westfall, 26, of Ballston Spa, was charged Jan. 14 in Saratoga Springs with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. 

Kayla Kelsey, 27, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Jan. 18 with criminal mischief, burglary, and grand larceny – all felonies. Kelsey is accused of stealing items and damaging property during an alleged burglary the Paddock Apartments in Wilton on Jan. 14 and Jan. 16, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. 

Benjamin Cuthbert, 49, of Fort Edward, was charged Jan. 14 in Saratoga Springs with misdemeanor DWI, passing a red light, and making an unsafe turn. 

Scott Hammond, 27, of Wilton, was charged Jan. 14 in Saratoga Springs with misdemeanor DWI, aggravated DWI, speed not reasonable, and failure to stop at a stop sign. 

Jason Lyng, 46, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Jan. 13 with DWI and operating a motor vehicle without inspection certificate.

Bradley Haskell, 32, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Jan. 13 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and operating vehicle that was unregistered, and without an inspection certificate.

Dejeir Coleman, 23, of Albany, was charged Jan. 13 in Saratoga springs with assault in the second-degree.

Gerald Oakes, 41, of Schenectady, was charged Jan. 10 in Saratoga Springs with coercion in the third-degree, three counts of criminal contempt, and aggravated harassment.

Anthony C. Lebrecht Jr., 34, of Halfmoon, was charged Jan. 13 with sexual abuse in the first-degree, following an investigation into an incident which occurred in the town of Malta last November, when Lebrecht is accused of subjecting a 12-year-old girl to sexual contact. 

Robert Fassone, 30, of Schenectady, was charged in Saratoga Springs with possession of a forged instrument, and two counts grand larceny.

Arthur Burnett, 23, of Saratoga Springs, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, and operating motor vehicle without inspection certificate.

January 8 – January 14, 2022

COURT 

Ellen K. Zwijacz, 42, of Wilton, was sentenced Jan. 6 to 364 days in jail following her Nov. 1, 2021 guilty plea to felony grand larceny in the second-degree, according to a statement issued by the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office. Zwijacz, a Wilton attorney, admitted to transferring control of a client’s funds without the knowledge of her client using fraudulent legal documents from 2013 to 2018. Dennis A. Combs, III, 24, of N.Y., N.Y., pleaded to criminal possession of a weapon in the second-degree, in Saratoga Springs. Sentencing Feb. 22. 

Jamie D. Faye, 40, of South Glens Falls, was sentenced to 1-1/2 to 3 years incarceration after pleading to felony criminal contempt, in Moreau.

Jeremy E. Molnar, 27, of Greenfield, pleaded to felony vehicular assault, in Wilton. Sentencing Feb. 24. 

Pedro Davila, 26, of Albany, pleaded to attempted assault in the second-degree, a felony, in Saratoga Springs. Sentencing Feb. 3. 

Blake A. Hefflin, 20, of Malta, pleaded to assault in the third-degree, and boating while intoxicated, in connection with a July 4, 2021 incident during which several underage individuals and adults hosted an underage drinking party in the area of Sandy Bay on Saratoga Lake, according to a statement by Saratoga County District Attorney Karen Heggen. Sentencing March 23.

Christopher C. Bradt, 27, of Glenville, was charged Jan. 6 with felony rape in the first-degree, and felony strangulation in the second-degree, in connection with an alleged incident in the Town of Halfmoon on June 23, 2021. According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Bradt and a female victim met each other on a dating app. He is accused of, while at the victim’s residence, engaging in sexual intercourse with the victim by forcible compulsion. 

Jonathan M. Aronson, 50, of Greenfield, was charged Jan. 6 with Predatory sexual assault against a child- Felony, Rape in the first degree- Felony, and Endangering the welfare of a child- Misdemeanor, in connection with an alleged incident which occurred in the Town of Greenfield Jan. 1. 

Joseph Nocian, 36, of Saratoga Springs, was charged with false impersonation and resisting arrest. 

Matthew DiSanto-Rose, 27, of Saratoga Springs, was charged with misdemeanor DWI, aggravated DWI, and failure to stop at a stop sign.

POLICE

Cassandra C. Morsellino, 30, of Amsterdam, was charged Dec. 5 with felony assault and felony burglary. Morsello is accused of intentionally causing serious physical injury to a person known to her by stabbing the victim in the neck with a knife. It is alleged she acted in concert with a man to unlawfully enter the residence of the victim with intent to commit a larceny and in the process causing physical injury to that victim, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. The victim suffered serious injuries not expected to be life-threatening. 

Michael L. Girard, 32, of Clifton Park, was charged Dec. 2 with the felonies: predatory sexual assault, criminal sexual act in the first-degree, and aggravated sexual abuse in the second-degree; and the misdemeanors: criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, and unlawful imprisonment in the second-degree. Girard is accused of engaging in a criminal sexual act by forcible compulsion with another person known to him in the town of Clifton Park in October. He is suspected of impeding the normal breathing of the victim by applying pressure to her neck. He was previously arrested for a similar incident to a separate victim on a separate date, leading to the charge of predatory sexual assault, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Gerard was sent to Saratoga County Jail without bail. 

Kevin C. Johnson, 34, Gloversville, was charged Dec. 3 with six felonies and one misdemeanor in Saratoga Springs in connection with an alleged incident on Nov. 25 at around 3:30 a.m., at 11 Excelsior Ave., according to Saratoga Springs Police. The felonies include: two counts of rape, predatory sexual assault; aggravated sexual abuse, strangulation - obstruct breath/blood circulation, and assault, in addition to the misdemeanor charge of criminal contempt. The female victim did sustain injuries which required medical treatment, police said. 

Thomas McCall, 33, of Saratoga Springs, was charged with two counts criminal possession of a controlled substance, and one count criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

December 4 – December 10, 2021

COURT

Georgios N. Kakavelos was sentenced Nov. 30 in Saratoga County Court to life in prison without the possibility of parole, following his conviction of murder in the first-degree by a trial jury in June, according to a statement issued by the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office. The trial lasted for more than six weeks with jury hearing from more than sixty witnesses and considering more than 700 items of evidence. Kakavelos had been convicted for the October 2019 murder of Allyzibeth A. Lamont in Johnstown. Lamont, 22, worked for Kakavelos at his deli shop. Lamont had challenged Kakavelos’ illegal activities of “paying employees under the table” and not complying with employment laws, First Assistant District Attorney Alan Porembo said, during the sentencing process, adding that it was because she stood up for her fellow employees that Kakavelos set into motion a plan to kill her. The jury found Kakavelos hired employee James Duffy to assist him with the murder and removal of the victim to a grave site in the town of Malta. Kakavelos was found guilty by the jury on ten counts, including: murder in the first-degree, conspiracy in the second-degree, two counts concealment of a human corpse (which takes into account the transportation, and burial of, the victim’s body), and six counts of tampering with physical evidence. 

Zachary L. Rosebrook, 22, of Waterford, was sentenced Dec. 1 to 2 years’ incarceration, and 6 years post-release supervision, after pleading to rape in the second-degree, in connection with an incident in Halfmoon originally charged in August 2020. 

Bryan M. Brust, 31, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded Nov. 29 to felony burglary, in Ballston Spa. Sentencing Jan. 31. 

Jackie McGonigle, 37, of Clifton Park, was sentenced Nov. 23 to 3 years’ incarceration, and 5 years post-release supervision, after pleading to second degree assault, and 1 year incarceration after pleading to second degree criminal contempt. Sentences to run concurrently. 

Thomas J. Dingmon, 30, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced Nov. 23 to 4-1/2 years’ incarceration and 1-1/2 years post-release supervision, after pleading to criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth-degree, a felony, in Galway.

Lloyd W. Kelone, 36, of Mechanicville, pleaded Nov. 23 to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third-degree, a felony, in Saratoga Springs. Sentencing Feb. 7. 

Yasuan Cureton, 26, of Albany, pleaded Nov. 23 to criminal possession of a weapon in the third-degree, a felony, in Saratoga Springs. Sentencing Jan. 27. 

Samuel Brown, 44, of Mechanicville, pleaded Nov. 23 to felony DWI. Sentencing Jan. 27. 

Jason T. Palmieri, 34, of Mechanicville, was sentenced Nov. 30 to 1 to 3 years’ incarceration after pleading to felony assault, and 1 to 3 years after pleading to felony DWI. Sentences will run consecutively. 

Nikki J. Atanasio, 46, of Troy, pleaded Nov. 30 to two felony counts criminal contempt in the first-degree, in connection with charges filed Aug. 3 in Clifton Park. Sentencing Feb. 1.
