The Mountaineers (2–2) got equally good pitching from the trio of David Hickey (Yale), Nick Naradowy (Rhode Island) and Pat Delano (Vanderbilt).
Vermont went up 1–0, but Saratoga tied it in the eighth, when Chris McGowan (Kennesaw State) scored on a RBI double by Jordan Striegel (Louisville).
The Mountaineers pushed across the game-winning runs on RBI from Chandler Brock (Alabama-Huntsville) and Pat Wiese (Le Moyne).
