Labatt Blue Brings First-Ever Undomesticated Summer Games to Spa State Park

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Labatt USA has announced that it will host the Labatt Undomesticated Games at the Columbia Pavilion, Saratoga Spa State Park, on Saturday, August 6. The event features five games including Human Bowling, Oversized Slingshot and Keg-O-War. Fifty teams, made of 300 people will compete for a chance to become “team legend” at the Labatt Undomesticated Games. Participating teams have registered online, and there are just a few remaining spots open. Fans can watch the games, enjoy music, backyard games, food, prizes and ice cold Labatt Blue throughout the day. Saratoga Springs is one of five cities around the Northeast and Great Lakes chosen to host the Labatt Undomesticated Games. According to Lisa Texido, Labatt Brand Manager, Saratoga Springs was chosen to celebrate the connection both the local community and the brand have with the outdoors. “We hope to draw thousands of people to the Columbia Pavilion to participate in our Undomesticated Games. For a full day, participants will transform into human bowling balls, slip and slide through obstacle courses and go head-to-head with giant slingshots. This is ridiculous fun at its best,” said Texido. Games will include: Human Bowling: Pin it to win it. Jump in and turn yourself into a human bowling ball, just like the Labatt Blue commercial. Knock down as many pins as possible to score points. Oversized Slingshot - Teams take aim with a bear-sized slingshot at a series of targets. Each team’s crew needs to relay the balls back to the slingshot to get off as many chances as possible before time runs out. Roller Dash - In a game of who wants it more, teams face off directly. Featuring groups of three, teams must out-hustle their opponents to gather as many balls as possible to win. Undomesticated Challenge- Teams must weave their way through a series of six obstacles with a slip and slide finish. Teams can’t miss a step through this relay or they lose points. Keg-O-War - It’ll take total teamwork to move four kegs of varying weights across the finish line. The faster the time, the more points earned. Teams are comprised of six players, with at least two female participants. All players must be 21 years or older to compete. Teams play at one of two sessions on August 6 at 11 a.m. or 2 p.m. Team registration started in May and there are a limited number of spots left to register. The cost to register is $125 per team.
