SARATOGA SPRINGS--Dakota Harvey rushed for 195 yards en route to a 31-18 Blue Streaks win over Guilderland, Friday night.
With the regular season-ending road victory, Saratoga Springs (5-1 Empire Division, 6-1 overall) clinched a No. 2 seed and home-field advantage in the first round of the playoffs against either Colonie or LaSalle.
The Dutchmen (4-2, 5-2), who powered through the first five games, will begin the postseason on the road as the No. 3 seed on a two-game losing skid.
The Streaks started off strong, surging to a 24-0 halftime lead before Dutchmen quarterback Frank Gallo helped bring his team back within 12, at 24-12, heading into the fourth quarter.
Although the Section II leading passer had three touchdowns in the game, Gallo also had three interceptions.
After two picks by Saratoga Springs' senior Half Hagan, Jake Eglintine added an interception of his own in addition to his offensive numbers, which included a crucial fourth down conversion to Harvey to set up the team's only score of the second half for some extra insurance.
Eglintine had three touchdowns on the night to wrap up the Blue Streaks' regular season.
