SARATOGA SPRINGS — Arlene R. Healey passed away Friday, Jan. 9 at Wesley Health Care Center. She was 90.

Born on Sept. 16, 1924 in Whitesboro, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Clark) Knott. Arlene attended Whitesboro Central School. She married Walter Healey on July 24, 1948 and they spent 46 years together until Walter passed away on Sept. 29, 1994. In addition to her parents and her husband, Arlene was predeceased by her sister, Jane Knott McManus, and her brother, John (Jack) Clark.

Arlene enjoyed knitting, camping and traveling, especially to the St. Lawrence Seaway and Alexandria Bay. She was a member of the Church of St. Peter in Saratoga Springs, a life member of the Saratoga Senior Center and the Red Hat Society (Queen of the Spa’s until 2007). Her favorite times were spent with her family.

Survivors include her son, Patrick (Mary-Jo), of Saratoga Springs; her daughter, Suzanne Coonradt, (Jeff Hojenski) of Rock City Falls; two granddaughters, Sara Healey, of Saratoga Springs and Stephanie Healey of Pompano Beach, Florida; and a grandson, Richard Coonradt, Jr.

Relatives and friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 17 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes. Funeral services will follow at noon at the funeral home and burial will be in the family plot at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Investigation into the matter led to the arrest of Julia H. Kim (age 33) of Halfmoon, who was charged with assault in the 2nd degree (class D felony) and criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree (class A misdemeanor).
