Outside Programming
The Town of Malta Parks and Recreation is offering Outside Programming. Enjoy fitness outdoors. Yoga and Zumba classes (evening and morning) under the Malta Park Pavilion.  Free Zumba class 6/7 (must pre-register) Painting in the Park with Pat at the Malta Community Park.  Explore the outdoors with a free story walk at the Shenantaha Creek Park from 5/1-6/25. Horse Tack Swap Meet 
To celebrate the completion of the new Horse Arena the Washington County Fairgrounds will be kicking off the 2021 season with a Horse Tack Swap Meet on Saturday, May 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Businesses and Non-Profits with equine-related business and services are welcome to apply for booth space as well. Booth Spaces are $10. for a 10x10 booth - set up a table or bring your horse trailer or truck to display your items for sale. Booth signs ups are available on the Washington County Fairground website or by calling the Fairgrounds at 518-692-2464.Though out the day equine demonstrations on equine care and equine-related events presented by the Washington County Draft Animal Association and the Tri-State Liberty Club will be happening throughout
the grounds. 

Bird Walk at Dionondehowa 
On Saturday, May 8, World Migratory Bird Day, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Dionondehowa will offer its annual Bird Walk guided by bird enthusiast Nat Parke. Social distancing and mask are required. A donation is requested. Dionondehowa Wildlife Sanctuary & School is a nonprofit forever-wild land trust located near Shushan, and bordering the Battenkill. Mother’s Day Flower Basket Sale
St. Luke’s on the Hill Episcopal Church, located at 40 McBride Rd., Mechanicville will hold the basket sale on Saturday, May 8 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.  10-inch baskets cost $27 and 12-inch baskets cost $38. Proceeds will go to our Sleep in Heavenly Peace Build. 

Getting Reacquainted Luncheon
Presented by Saratoga Christian Women’s Connection. Join us on May 11 from Noon to 2 p.m. at our “New Location” Circa `21, McGregor Links, 359 Northern Pines Rd., Wilton. Mother’s Day Chicken Barbecue Fundraiser
The Knickerbocker Mansion, located at 132 Knickerbocker Rd., Schaghticoke, is having a take-out fundraiser featuring a barbecued half chicken, creamed potatoes, baked beans, cabbage salad, roll and apple or rhubarb crisp for dessert on Sunday May 9 with pick up at noon to 1 p.m. Cost is $15. Reservations must be made by May 1 by calling 518-588-7130.  Leave a message and we’ll get back to you.  There will be no seating available owing to Covid 19 concerns. As always, all proceeds will benefit the Knickerbocker Historical Society, a 501-C3 non-profit organization.

Annual Plant Fair
Tomatoes from organically grown seeds; herbs, lettuce, other vegetables, and a wide variety of local perennials. Saturday, May 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Sunday, May 23 from Noon to 3 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Saratoga Springs, Church Parking Lot - 624 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs. Donations Wanted for Fundraiser Yard sale
The sale will take place on June 4, 5, & 6, from 9a.m. – 4 p.m. at Gateway House of Peace, located at 479 Rowland St., Ballston Spa. Items wanted: Household items, jewelry, toys, furniture, tools, etc. 
Donations can be dropped off May 1-June 1. Please call Elaine 518-587-5109 to set up donation drop off. All proceeds go to Gateway House of Peace. Gateway House is a donor driven End of life home that cares for local resident & families during loved one’s final days.

Perennial Plant and Garage Sale
The Southern Saratoga Garden Club will hold its annual perennial plant and garage sale on Friday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  This event will be held in conjunction with the Sherwood Forest Neighborhood Garage Sale and will be located at 8 Berkshire Dr., Clifton Park.  A wide selection of shade and sun perennials will be available, including a variety of specimen Hosta.  In addition, experienced gardeners will be on hand to assist you in choosing plants suitable to your garden.  Miscellaneous garden art and other garage sale items will also be on sale.  Proceeds from the sale will fund the club’s scholarship to a graduating Shenendehowa student entering a horticultural-related field, the Wiawaka Center for Women in Lake George, and The Nature Conservancy. Masks and social distancing will be required. 

Craft Fair at Brookside
The Saratoga County History Center is thrilled to announce a county-wide craft fair.  The family-friendly free event will be held at beautiful Brookside Museum, located at 6 Charlton St., Ballston Spa on Saturday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Guests will be able to shop a wide variety of locally handcrafted collectibles, antiques, and farm products.  Moreover, the event is juried, and vendors will be judged on their originality, creativity, and craftsmanship.  No mass-produced or commercially made items will be permitted.  Thus, this is a terrific opportunity for New Yorkers to sample and appreciate the best of upstate artisans, farmers, and culinarians. Saratoga Springs Youth Ballet Program
Saratoga Springs Youth Ballet will be holding a Young Children’s Summer Program for students ages 4 to 7 years old. The program will run two weeks July 12-16 and July 19- 23 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Each day will follow a different ballet theme and it will include a ballet lesson, crafts, stories, and related activities! We are located at 418 Geyser Rd. Suite 5, Ballston Spa. The program is in person and class size is limited. We will be following all CDC, state, and local Covid-19 prevention guidelines.
