By Staff Report | Education

BALLSTON SPA The Ballston Spa Central School District and the Village of Ballston Spa are combining efforts to celebrate school and community pride during the district’s annual Homecoming Week. Various activities will be held throughout the schools, the businesses and the community the week of September 30–October 5.

The schools will be celebrating various themes each day, including the High School’s America Day on Monday, a Tie-Dye Tuesday, Twin Wednesday, Class T-Shirt on Thursday, and Scottie Pride Day (purple and gold) on Friday.

Local businesses will help celebrate school spirit by donating their storefront windows to be decorated by a team or club from the school district as well.

The event will start at 6:30 p.m. on October 1 in the high school auditorium with a reception immediately following in the library.

Organizations from throughout the school district and members of the various school groups will be participating in a parade through town on Friday, October 4 before the football game. It will start at the former South Street School at 6 p.m. and proceed down Route 50 through the Village and over to the football field. The parade is being organized as a collaboration of the Ballston Spa High School Student Council and the Village of Ballston Spa.
