Summer Reading Road Trip!

SARATOGA SPRINGS — On Wednesday, July 13 from 2 to 5 p.m.. Northshire Bookstore and the Saratoga Springs Public Library will team up to host the Scholastic Summer Reading Road Trip in Congress Park in Saratoga Springs. The rain location for this event is the Saratoga Springs Public Library, 49 Henry Street. The Scholastic Summer Reading Road Trip is a nationwide RV tour, presenting reading festivals designed to inspire a love of reading in children - from babies through age twelve. The Scholastic RV is visiting thirty-five towns across America between May and July of 2016. The reading festival in Congress Park on July 13 will include the decorated Scholastic Summer Reading RV, appearances by costumed characters Clifford, The Big Red Dog and Geronimo Stilton, as well as crafts and activities, giveaways, a moving photo booth and more. Four popular children’s book authors will be signing books at the event: Eric Luper, Sandra Magsamen, K.E. Rocha and Tracy West. This event is free and open to the public, and is presented locally by Northshire Bookstore and the Saratoga Springs Public Library.
