The second win in as many games over the Knights put Schuylerville at 11-0 in the league while Lansingburgh dropped to 9-2.
After a scoreless first quarter and trailing 5-4 early in the third, the Black Horses’ offense unleashed with 12 unanswered goals to secure their 11th straight victory.
Freshman Zach Pierce had five goals and three assists for Schuylerville, while senior Luke Pumiglia had three goals and two assists of his own to lead the league champions.
With just one Wasaren game remaining for both teams heading into Thursday, May 16, Schuylerville is a frontrunner for a top seed in the Section II Class C tournament but did suffer a 9-8 loss to non-league Glens Falls (4-5) on Monday, May 13. It was the team’s first loss since the second game of the season against Schenectady on April 4.
