Blue Streaks Hockey Alumni Game
SARATOGA SPRINGS — Saratoga High School hockey alumni celebrated the 20th anniversary of the 1998-1999 State Championship, with a hockey game on Saturday, December 29 at the Weibel Ice Rink.  The Alumni game started at 1 p.m. and precede the Varsity game against Pelham at 2 p.m.  The Alumni game featured players from both Saratoga HS Championship teams (1999 and 2013), and the teams were coached by the State Championship coaches, Bob Santamoor, Dave Torres and Tim Grande. The Saratoga Blue Streaks played the Pelham Memorial High School Pelicans in a game at 2 p.m. on December 29 at the Weibel Ice Rink.  After three periods of play, the games were scoreless. The Blue Streaks then went on to win 1-0 in overtime, outshooting the Pelicans 41-10.

New Fitness Classes at School of the Arts
Mary Anne Fantauzzi, owner of Total Body Trifecta, will teach two new fitness classes at the School of the Arts at the National Museum of Dance, 99 South Broadway, Saratoga Springs:
SOLE SYNTHESIS
Tuesdays 12:15-1 p.m. from January 8-February 26. A barefooted standing fusion of fitness and yoga. All levels welcome. 8 sessions for $68.

BEGINNER BARRE AND BALANCE
Wednesdays 2-3 p.m. from January 9-February 27. A combination of gentle ballet and body sculpting. 8 sessions for $68. Saratoga Gymnastics Bests Guilderland
SARATOGA SPRINGS — Saratoga gymnastics won their third dual meet of the season (3-0) by defeating Guilderland 173.05 – 157.50 on Friday night at the Wilton YMCA.  Saratoga secured 8 out of the top10 all-around scores led by Ava Dallas (1st all-around; 36.15) followed by Laura Eberlein (2nd all-around; 34.90), Sophia Damiano (3rd all-around; 34.40), Molly Russell (6th allaround; 33.30), Olivia Allen (7th all-around; 32.60), Meghan Wishart (8th all-around; 32.20), Kate DellaRatta (9th all-around; 32.10) and Olivia Allen (10th allaround; 31.70).  Guilderland’s top all-around performers were Rachel Drislane (4th all-around; 34.15) and Allison Rem (5th all-around; 33.40).  Saratoga gymnasts captured the top spot in each of the four individual events with Ava Dallas winning the beam (9.55) and the bars (8.80), Laura Eberlein winning the floor exercise (9.30), and Kate DellaRatta winning the vault (8.75). Spa Catholic Girls Basketball
SARATOGA SPRINGS — Saratoga Catholic lost a very physical battle at Whitehall on Friday, December 21, 34 to 24.  Whitehall made 5 or 7 free throws in the last minute to secure the victory. Lauren Maher led the offense with 8 points and Ryleigh O’Connell had 9 rebounds. Saratoga Catholic was cold from the line in the first quarter going 0-6 and falling behind by 11. They cut it to 4 in the 3rd quarter but could Corinth put up 7 unanswered points to close out the quarter.  Grace O’Reilly played a great all around game with 6 points and 6 rebounds.
