2026 Mixer at the Museum to Benefit Veterans and Military History

The Veterans Business Council of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce is joining forces with the Friends of the New York State Military Museum to host a special networking event at the New York State Military Museum, bringing together veterans, business leaders and community members for an evening of connection and conversation.

The Mixer at the Museum is scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15 at the New York State Military Museum, located at 61 Lake Ave. in Saratoga Springs and is open to all who support the military and veterans.

Admission is free for Veterans and Active-Duty Military personnel and pay what you wish for others with a $10 suggested donation to support the mission of the Veterans Business Council to foster business connections, career opportunities, and scholarship programs within the local veteran community. Proceeds from the event’s cash bar will benefit the Friends of the NYS Military Museum, an organization that helps to support the care, preservation and interpretation of the Military History Collection of the State of New York.

“The Veterans Business Council is proud to partner with the Friends of the New York State Military Museum for this special event,” said Joe Juracka, Chair of the Veterans Business Council. “This gathering provides an opportunity to bring our community together while raising important funds to support veteran career and education initiatives, as well as the preservation of New York’s rich military history.”

“Our Military Museum is thrilled to welcome the Veterans Business Council back to the museum for another mixer,” said Richard Goldenberg, Director of Military History at the museum. “Saratoga is about Health, History and Horses; we offer Saratoga residents and our thousands of visitors an opportunity to learn about New Yorkers’ service and sacrifice over the years.”

The event offers a unique opportunity to explore world-class military memorabilia while connecting with fellow veterans, active military members, and supporters. This mixer provides a great chance to network in a meaningful setting surrounded by New York State’s military heritage.

Attendees will see the new, permanent exhibit dedicated to the servicemen and women from New York who served and sacrificed during the Global War on Terrorism, as well as the museum’s other military exhibits, while enjoying refreshments and connecting with like-minded individuals who share a commitment to supporting the veterans and military community.
