Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office

 

The Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Brookwood Road in the Town of Halfmoon to assist the town Code Enforcement Department. It was found that a large number of canines were living in deplorable conditions at that location. Derrick J. Sud-Nieves, 29, of Halfmoon, was subsequently arrested and charged with 35 counts of NYS Agriculture and Markets Law, section 353 – Overdriving, torturing and injuring animals; failure to provide proper sustenance. Sud-Nieves was processed at the Halfmoon station and released with an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Halfmoon Town Court at a later date. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Town of Halfmoon Code Enforcement, Clifton Park Animal Control and the Humane Society. The animals were seized from the residence and are currently in the care of the Humane Society. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may follow. 

Following an investigation into an incident that reportedly occurred in 2020 in the town of Greenfield, Logan M. Andreadakis, 25, of Queensbury, was arrested and charged with rape in the 2nd degree (class D felony) and sexual abuse in the 3rd degree (class B misdemeanor). Andreadakis is accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with a then 14-year-old female who was known to him. He was arraigned before Michael Ginley in the Greenfield Town Court and released to pretrial services pending further action in the matter.
