Delbert James Kenyon

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Delbert James Kenyon of Greenfield Center passed away peacefully in Saratoga Hospital after battling cancer for a short few weeks on Sunday, September 29, 2024. 

Mr. Kenyon was born in Schenectady on July 24, 1950, the first son of Robert and Barbara Kenyon.  He graduated from Saratoga Springs High School in 1968. He lived life to the fullest and traveled to the beat of a different drum, traveling all over the United States in his early 20s.  He was a retired maintenance and grounds supervisor for the town of Wilton.  In addition, he worked many years as a Maytag repairman. He also worked at The Parting Glass, and was quite the entrepreneur as a restaurant owner and aquarium store owner.  

He was predeceased by his mother, Barbara, (Simmons) Kenyon, father, Robert E Kenyon, and brother Wayne Kenyon of Saratoga Springs. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn (O’Donnell) Kenyon; his brother Jack (Eve) Kenyon of Ballston Spa; his daughter, Roclyn Harrington of Saratoga Springs; nephews, Ian Kenyon of FL, Josh Kenyon of Ballston Lake, Zach Kenyon of MT; niece, Melody Stasik of Ballston Lake; nine great-nephews, three great-nieces; and many cousins.   

Delbert’s legacy to the future will continue in the lives of his family and in the anatomical gift of his body to Albany Medical College. 

The celebration of life will be later at the convenience of the family.
