Dr. Robert James Moore

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY- Dr. Robert James Moore, 60, passed away peacefully March 21, 2026, at Albany Medical Center surrounded by his friends and family. He was born December 7, 1965, at Saratoga Hospital and had been a lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs. He was the second son of the late John Benson Moore and May Jean Faull.

Graduating Saratoga Springs High School in 1984, he continued on to receive a Bachelor of Arts at Siena College, a Master of Science at the State University of New York at Albany and a Doctorate in Philosophy from Penn State University focused on the advanced study of counseling psychology.

Rob practiced psychology at Saratoga County Mental Health for 24 years. It was his one true passion. He loved working with the team at the clinic and helping clients.

He is survived by his brother Michael (Joann) and his partner of over 20 years, William J. Allerdice.

He will forever be remembered for his wit, sarcasm, perfect comedic timing, loving friendship and his Irish goodbyes.

We will miss you more than you will ever know.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday May 5, from 3-6pm at the Ripe Tomato. All who knew him are welcome. Please come share your stories of our unforgettable boy.
