Blotter Report – Week of October 2 – October 8, 2026 

Between Sept. 21 and Sept. 27, the Saratoga Springs Police reported 536 incidents in their weekly blotter report. The top three incidents were as follows. 

1. Traffic stops: 111

2. 911 Hang up- 32 

3. Disturbance- 24

Between Sept. 23 and Sept. 29, the New York State Police reported 219 incidents that didn’t result in arrest in their daily blotter report. The top incident was a traffic accident with 40 reported incidents. State Police reported the names of 83 individuals involved in accidents, the median age of which was 40. In terms of arrests, 25 individuals were arrested on 54 charges, the median age of which was 34.5. 

The top three municipalities for incidents were as follows: 

1. Clifton Park- 45

2. Halfmoon and Malta- 39

3. Wilton- 28

September 23, 2026. 8:29 a.m.- New York State Police arrested a Corinth resident in the Town of Corinth on charges of felony possessing a sexual performance by a child under 16: possess/access to view. Appearance ticket issued. Original incident reported on Sept. 17. 

September 23, 2026. 6:18 p.m.- New York State Police arrested a Coxsackie resident in the Town of Clifton Park on charges of misdemeanor falsify business records: make false entry. Appearance ticket issued.

September 23, 2026. 6:26 p.m.- New York State Police arrested three Albany residents in the Town of Clifton Park on multiple charges. The first two were charged with misdemeanor 5th degree conspiracy and felony 3rd degree grand larceny: property value exceeds $3,000. The third was charged with the other two aforementioned offenses as well as misdemeanor 5th degree criminal possession of stolen property. All three were released on their own recognizance. 

September 23, 2026. 05:49 PM- Saratoga Springs Police arrested a Halfmoon resident on charges of criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation -apply pressure, and assault 3rd degree: with intent to cause physical injury. Arrest occurred on Church St.

September 24, 2026. 7:04 a.m.- New York State Police arrested a South Glens Falls resident in the Town of Wilton on charges of Felony criminal contempt: violate order of protection- physical contact and misdemeanor 3rd degree criminal trespass: property fenced in or enclosed. Cash bail.

September 24, 2026 12:00 PM- Saratoga Springs Police arrested a Halfmoon resident on charges of criminal mischief: reckless property damage greater than $250. Arrest occurred on Church St.

September 24, 2026. 12:36 p.m.- New York State Police arrested a Schenectady resident in the Town of Clifton Park on charges of felony 3rd degree grand larceny and felony 1st degree scheme to defraud: obtain property over $1000 from one or more persons. Central arraignment. Original incident reported on August 27.

September 24, 2026. 1:50 p.m.- New York State Police arrested a Clifton Park resident in the Town of Clifton Park on charges of felony 3rd degree criminal sale of a firearm: sale to unauthorized person, felony 3rd degree criminal sale of a firearm: possess with intent to sell and felony 3rd degree criminal possession of a weapon: three or more firearms. Turned over to other agency.

September 25, 2026 04:38 PM- Saratoga Springs Police arrested a Cobleskill resident on charges of criminal possession-controlled substance- 7th degree and grand larceny- 4th: credit card. Arrest occurred on Henry St.

September 25, 2026 05:37 PM- Saratoga Springs Police arrested a Cobleskill resident on charges of arson 5: intentionally damage property of another by fire or explosion. Arrest occurred at the Police Station.

September 26, 2026 11:26 AM- Saratoga Springs Police arrested a Galway resident on charges of petit larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th. Arrest occurred on Ballston Ave.

September 26, 2026. 6:31 p.m.- New York State Police arrested two Albany residents in the Town of Clifton Park. The first was charged with misdemeanor petit larceny. The second was charged with felony 2nd degree forgery: official document, felony 1st degree falsify business records, misdemeanor petit larceny, misdemeanor 2nd degree criminal impersonation: other person, and misdemeanor 2nd degree obstruct governmental administration- prevent official function. Appearance tickets issued.

September 26, 2026 06:33 PM- Saratoga Springs Police arrested a Glenville resident on charges of failure to pay service based on stealth. Arrest occurred on High Rock Ave.

September 27, 2026 09:11 AM- Saratoga Springs Police arrested a Mechanicville resident on charges of grand larceny 4th: value property greater than $1000.

September 29, 2026. 6:45 a.m.- New York State Police arrested a Trenton NJ resident and a Bronx resident in the Town of Malta on charges of felony 4th degree grand larceny: value greater than $1000, misdemeanor 5th degree conspiracy, 2nd degree obstruct governmental administration, and misdemeanor resisting arrest. Held- no bail.
