Blotter Report Week of September 18 – September 24, 2026
Between September 8 and September 16, the New York State Police reported 352 incidents not resulting in arrest in Saratoga County in their daily police blotter. Of these, the most common incident was accident- property damage with 60 reported incidents. In total, New York State Police identified 111 individuals involved in accidents — including hit and run incidents and accidents in which someone was injured. The median age of drivers involved in accidents was 45.
In terms of arrests, State Police arrested 29 individuals on 55 charges. The median age was 42 of an arrestee was 42, the most common charge filed was DWI- first offense with six charges filed and the town in which the most charges were filed in was Malta with 12.
In terms of incidents that did not result in arrest, the top three municipalities were:

September 8, 2026. 3:56 p.m.- New York State Police arrested a Ballston Spa resident in the Town of Malta on charges of misdemeanor 2nd degree unlawful imprisonment, 2nd degree criminal trespass- enter or remain unlawfully in a dwelling, resisting arrest, 2nd degree obstruct governmental administration- prevent official function, and act in a manner to injure a child less than 17. Released on own recognizance.
September 8, 2026. 10:19 p.m.- New York State Police arrested a Saratoga Springs resident in the Town of Malta on charges of DWI- first offense. Appearance ticket issued.
September 9, 2026. 7:30 a.m.- New York State Police arrested a Greenfield resident on charges of felony possessing a sexual performance by child <16: possess/access to view, promote a sexual performance by child less than 17 years of age, and tampering with physical evidence: conceal/destroy. Central arraignment.
September 9, 2026. 1:58 p.m.- New York State Police arrested an Argyle resident in the Village of Schuylerville on charges of 6th degree conspiracy, falsely report to law enforcement an incident that did not occur, and false written statement. Appearance ticket issued.

September 12, 2026. 1:12 p.m.- New York State Police arrested a Boynton Beach resident in the Town of Saratoga on charges of felony 2nd degree criminal possession of a weapon- loaded firearm other than person’s home/business and criminal possession of a firearm- possess a firearm. Cash bail.
September 12, 2026. 3:48 p.m.- New York State Police arrested a Ballston Lake resident in the Town of Charlton on charges of misdemeanor 3rd degree assault: with intent to cause physical injury. Appearance ticket issued.
September 13, 2026. 4:10 p.m.- New York State Police arrested a Saratoga Springs resident in the Town of Wilton on charges of misdemeanor torturing or injuring animals/failure to provide sustenance. Appearance ticket issued.
September 13, 2026. 6:50 p.m.- New York State Police arrested a Ballston Spa resident in the Town of Ballston on charges of misdemeanor criminal mischief: intent to damage property. Released on own recognizance.
September 15, 2026. 6:57 a.m.- New York State Police arrested a Clifton Park resident in the Town of Clifton Park on charges of felony possessing a sexual performance by child <16: possess/access to view, promote a sexual performance by child less than 17 years of age, and tampering with physical evidence: conceal/destroy. Released on own recognizance.
September 15, 2026. 10:33 p.m.- New Yorek State Police arrested a Clifton Park resident in the Town of Halfmoon on charges of felony 1st degree reckless endangerment, misdemeanor 2nd degree menacing and misdemeanor act in a manner to injure a child less than 17. Appearance ticket issued.
