Dr. Valentino Fioravandi Tebbano

Roger E. Calkins

Eileen Q. Wise 

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Eileen Q. Wise of Saratoga Springs, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and caring nurse passed away peacefully at the age of 84. She departed this world on November 22, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, care, and unwavering love.

Born on March 11, 1939 in Amsterdam, NY to parents Thomas Quinn and Henrietta Quinn (Bruck), she was a graduate of St. Mary’s Institute in Amsterdam and went on to Albany Medical Center School of Nursing where she became a Registered Nurse, later working as such for Albany Medical Center, The Saratoga Springs City School District, and The Saint John Neumann Residence for elderly priests. A devout Catholic, Eileen was involved with St. Clement’s Church in Saratoga Springs as a Eucharistic Minister and Religious Education Teacher, and later in life continued her ministry at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Naples, FL. Her commitment to the well-being of others was her calling, approaching each day she lived with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on those she served.

As a mother, Eileen was the epitome of love and selflessness, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and a sense of security. She is survived by husband of 59 years John A. Wise, son Andrew Wise (Cheryl), daughters Alison Meagher (Douglas), Mary Beth Wallis (Gregory), Joleen Rabuano (David), and son Gerard Wise (Heather). Also surviving Eileen is her brother Thomas Quinn, Jr. (Kathryn), and several nieces and nephews. Eileen’s joy of life extended to the role of grandmother, where she delighted in the company of her 16 grandchildren, often hosting the entire family for holiday and family gatherings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clement’s Church, 231 Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY on Friday, December 29th at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 150 West Avenue, Saratoga Springs NY. 

The family would like to thank all the caregivers at The Wesley Community for care given to Eileen late in life.

Richard Cosgrove

QUEENSBURY — Richard Cosgrove, age 82, of Queensbury, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Saratoga Hospital. Born on June 23, 1941, in Utica, NY, he was the son of the late Glen Cosgrove and Edna Kohler-Cosgrove.

Richard graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a degree in Nursing. He dedicated his professional life to caregiving as a registered nurse at Albany Medical Center, hospice in Washington County and the Eddy VNA in Troy, NY, before retiring in 2013. Outside of his profession, Richard was a long-time member of the Greenwich Elks Lodge. Richard’s passion for life was unmistakably reflected in his diverse hobbies. His zest for life was evident in his myriad of interests, which included hiking, riding motorcycles, listening to smooth jazz, nurturing landscapes, traveling, playing cards, dancing the night away and learning about the mysteries of outer space as well as a deep love of animals. He loved spending the winter months in Florida being near the ocean. He embraced every moment with enthusiasm and kindness, and he brightened the room with his laughter and sense of humor. Richard had a deep appreciation for his lifelong friends who enriched his life beyond words.

He leaves behind cherished memories with his loving wife of 57 years, Lulubelle Cosgrove; his son, Darren Cosgrove (Randee); daughter, Alisha Cosgrove; brothers, Robert Cosgrove (Kathy), Dennis Cosgrove (Mary), and Nathan Thomas (Debra). The light of his life was his granddaughter, Delaney Cosgrove. 

Calling hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY.  

The funeral service for Richard will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY.

Robert J. Earley

Todd Michael Mittler 

ROCHESTER —Todd Michael Mittler passed away unexpectedly in his sleep of a heart condition at his brother’s home in Saratoga Springs on Thanksgiving morning, November 23, 2023 at the age of 51. He was called home and reunited with his parents James and Sandy, and his twin brother, Jimmy who passed in the summer of 2022. He will be greatly missed by his beautiful children Michael and Sophia who inherited his caring nature and sense of humor, his former spouse Cara with whom he remained close, his loving brother Steve and his children Julia and Max who carry forth the Mittler family’s kindness and charisma. In addition, he is survived by Jimmy’s wife Pilar Mittler and her children Jimena and Nicholas.

Born in Philadelphia, PA alongside his twin brother, Todd later spent his formative years in Clifton Park, NY, where he actively engaged in athletics, with lacrosse holding a special place as his favorite sport. 

He attended Canisius College in Buffalo, NY on a full lacrosse scholarship and remained a proud Alumni and forever Griff. 

Todd loved Western NY. After graduation, he made Rochester, NY his hometown. His professional journey spanned over two decades at Wegmans Food Markets Corporate offices, where he not only excelled in his work but also left an enduring impact on numerous colleagues who became cherished friends. In 2014, guided by experience & talents, he embarked on a new chapter founding TechBridge Consulting. He aimed for the stars and landed partnerships with Johnson & Johnson, Citibank, and most recently was working with Harvard University.

 Todd had a zest for life, an infectious laugh and would do anything for those around him. In his free time, he loved boating, fine dining, and the Buffalo Bills (Go Bills!). Mentioning any of these topics would instantly light up his face with unmistakable passion. He touched many lives and would have been overwhelmed by the number of people who reached out to show their support and love.

MIDDLE GROVE — Harold Wilson, Jr. peacefully departed this life on November 25 surrounded by his family. He was 76 years old.
