SARATOGA SPRINGS — It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Saratoga Springs, NY native Timothy A. Brenenstuhl. He passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on February 19, 2024 after experiencing an accident in his home two weeks prior. Tim was 40 years of age.
Tim graduated from Saratoga Springs High School in 2001 before earning a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Vermont. It was there that he met his future wife, Sophia Green, and together the couple moved to Los Angeles after graduation. Their work soon took them to Thailand where they spent nearly a year on the set of the 2006 film “Rescue Dawn.” After returning to California, Tim stayed in the film industry for a time, continuing to work closely with Sophie’s parents, Patricia Green and the late Gerald Green, but ultimately chose to pursue opportunities in his original field of study. He worked for a few different landscape architecture firms in the area before starting his own company, TAB Design, which focused on the design, installation, and maintenance of unique landscape projects in southern California. In 2012, Tim earned his Master’s in Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture from UCLA, and the experience further amplified his interest in residential and commercial contracting and renovations.
In 2021, Tim moved home to Saratoga Springs to be closer to his family and to follow his passions for craftsmanship in construction and historical home restorations. For the past three years, Tim had worked for himself and was excited to be in the middle of another project in downtown Saratoga, relishing the exhaustion that a long day of problem-solving and power tools brought him.
Tim was strong willed and curmudgeonly at times, but he also had an enormous heart, a contagious smile, and a wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, curious, and- in his younger days- never one to miss a good party. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all his many life experiences – he could build or fix almost anything. Reading and research were two of his favorite hobbies in recent times, but he also loved all types of outdoor recreation, classic Volkswagen vans, designing and building furniture, and music of all kinds (except smooth jazz- man, did he hate smooth jazz).
Tim is survived by his loving parents, mother Laurie Brenenstuhl and father Gary Brenenstuhl, his brother and sister-in-law Ryan and Megan Brenenstuhl and their daughter Caroline, former wife Sophia Green of Los Angeles and her family, his golden retriever Gracie, many extended family members, and countless friends near and far.
He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them- and if you knew him, you knew it. He will be missed dearly.
In typical Tim fashion, there will be no formal services planned, certainly no pomp and circumstance. A celebration of life will occur later in the summer with details to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Mary’s Haven, a program of Catholic Charities of Saratoga, Warren, and Washington Counties, which provided such comfort to Tim and his family in his final days, or to the Bethesda Episcopal Church- both of Saratoga Springs, NY.

QUEENSBURY — Robert “Bob” Francis Moser, age 81, passed away, peacefully on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
Born on November 17, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Ida (Burns) Moser.
Bob met the love of his life when he was 15. Summer school Algebra class proved to be the perfect place to flirt with the beautiful Mary Wall. They soon became inseparable and on October 12, 1963 surrounded by loved ones, were united in marriage and began their life together. Bob’s love and devotion to Mary and their children was unconditional. Family dinners and celebrations were all experiences that were treasured, especially Christmas and the infamous black bag! As the grandchildren arrived, Bob’s love and commitment to his family multiplied. He adored them all and always looked forward to seeing them and creating memories together.
He was proud to serve his country during the Cuban Missile Crisis as a Navy reservist and airman. His time in the service instilled in him values of bravery, loyalty, and commitment to service. After being honorably discharged, Bob worked for the Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company before becoming an officer with the NYPD in 1966.
Over his storied career with the NYPD, Bob proudly worked out of the 77 Precinct, known by many as “The Alamo.” He earned the distinguished Gold Shield and became a Detective, Grade 3. Breaking barriers, he was one of the first undercover officers proudly paired with both female and African-American partners. Bob ran a Robbery Alert Task Force Team, and was involved in high-profile cases, including one international incident that even caught the attention of then President Jimmy Carter. Bob finished his career in Anti-Crime. With sharp timing and an endless supply of stories, Bob quintessentially represented the NYPD of the 70s.
He also loved the Adirondacks and enjoyed a quieter post-retirement life upstate. Bob had a passion for fishing for striped bass and hunting whitetail deer, ending most evenings with a glass of B&B. He loved spending time with family, especially at his cherished camp in Schroon Lake which he built and renovated over the many happy years spent there. Every thoughtful addition to the camp signaled a new “Bob project” and he proudly hosted many friends and family celebrations over the years. Bob’s wry and quick wit will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Frank and Ida Moser of Brooklyn, NY, his son in-law, Branden “Kurt” McCoslin of TX, and his three sisters; Audrey, Edna, and Iris of Brooklyn NY, all predeceased him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years of marriage, Mary Eileen Moser, as well as his four children: Gerard Moser (Michele Forte), of Malta, NY, Mary Eileen McCoslin of Queensbury, NY, Kerri Moser (Michael Leroux) of Queensbury, NY, and Robert Moser (Lisa Moser) of Greenfield, NY.
Bob is also survived by his four grandchildren: Olivia Moser (Shane Matuskovic) of Queensbury, Maegen McCoslin of Queensbury, Carson Moser and Emery Moser of Greenfield, and step-granddaughter Paige Leroux of Queensbury. He also leaves behind his three cherished canine companions – Fendi, Prince, and Hazel – who brought him so much joy, along with several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 10 – 11 a.m. on Monday, February 26, at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church, 448 Aviation Road, Queensbury. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at the church immediately following the calling hours at 11 a.m. on Monday.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Bob’s memory to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, Attn, Donations, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204.
Arrangements are under the care of the Singleton Sullivan Potter Funeral Home, 407 Bay Rd, Queensbury, and those who wish may make online condolences at sbfuneralhome.com

SARATOGA SPRINGS — The City of Saratoga Springs has lost one of its most prominent citizens and her absence will be felt in every area of civic and community fellowship, throughout the Capital District, and New York State, for many years to come.
Born in Saratoga Hospital on October 20, 1964, Pamela Polacsek was destined to be a dynamo. After suffering a paralyzing spinal cord injury in 1990, she forged a path of fierce advocacy for those most in need, gave voice to the voiceless, and brought together thousands in a shared vision that strengthened our community and created real, lasting change that continues to bring hope and dignity to countless lives. Pam died peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, at Saratoga Hospital on Friday, February 9. She was 59.
A complete list of Pam’s accomplishments and contributions is impossible to compile. At the time of her death, she was the Director of Development and Foundations for the Saratoga County Chapter of Saratoga Bridges, well-known for its annual White Party that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to benefit individuals with disabilities and their families. She has been the Board President, Chair of Discretionary Fund and Chair of Strategic Planning for the Hawley Foundation for Children, a Saratoga Community Block Grants Citizens Advisory Committee Member, Leadership Saratoga Advisory Board Member, and a Soroptimist of Saratoga County, just to name a few.
In 2002, Pam completed Leadership Saratoga and was named one of the Top “20 Under 40” by The Saratogian newspaper, for which she also wrote the monthly column “Living with Disabilities.” Pam’s faith was very important to her, and she served as president, grant writer, Publicity and Media Relations Chair, and a Gabbi for Congregation Shaara Tfille and was on the Jewish Federation of NENY Board, served on its Communications Committee, and co-chaired the Saratoga Women’s Philanthropy event and North Country event. An avid reader, Pam was a member of the Lessons Learned Through Reading Book Club for 22 years.
Pam graduated Saratoga High in 1982. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in French and Government from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York and a Cértificate Diplôme d’Études Françaises from the Université d’haute Normandie in Rouen, France. In 2011 she was Saratoga Bridges’ Employee of the Year and in 2011 received its President’s Award.
Those that knew her were blessed to learn many valuable lessons, like “always say thank you and I’m sorry,” and “edit before pressing send,” and “always exceed your fundraising goals.” In her own words: “I believe it is very important to not only give back to the community but also crucial for all of us to try and make a difference in others’ lives.”
Pam is survived by her parents Allan and Carole Polacsek, her brother Bart and sister-in-law Allyz and her nephew Gabriel and niece Reva who fondly referred to her as “Tante.” Her Aunt Sondra Silverhart, Uncle Irving Metzger, Aunt Ellen and Uncle Joel Henkin, many cousins, her KDS Family, friends of Lessons Learned Through Reading Book Club, friends of Saratoga Springs High School Class of 1982 and friends from her time spent in Washington, D.C.
There are no words to express the love and friendship given to Pam by her incredible caregivers over the years, including Susan Asbell, Judy Braim, Jamie Miller, Kathy Plueau, Sandra Redding and Earline Stevens. They each made sure Pam was ready to begin her day, which wasn’t always an easy task—especially because she meticulously needed “everything to match.” Pam’s family are forever grateful to the staff of Saratoga Hospital’s ICU for the exemplary care and dignity shown to Pam.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of a memorial contribution to either: Saratoga Bridges or Congregation Shaara Tfille.
A funeral was held at Congregation Shaara Tfille at 84 Weibel Ave., Saratoga Springs on Monday, February 12, 2024. A meal of comfort followed.
