Election Day: Nov. 8

SARATOGA COUNTY — Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8. Polling Places will be open 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. There are 168, 047 active registered voters in Saratoga County.

All registered voters are eligible to participate in the General Election. Check your registration status at voterlookup.elections.ny.gov/ 

Up for vote are several seats – statewide, as well as countywide and locally in several municipalities. The sample ballot depicts Saratoga Springs specifically. Flip the ballot over: A 2022 Statewide Ballot Proposal, titled Proposal Number One – “Clean Water, Clean Air, And Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act Of 2022.” The purpose of this proposal is to authorize the creation of state debt and the sale of state bonds in the amount of up to $4.2 billion for certain capital projects for the purpose of making environmental improvements that preserve, enhance, and restore New York’s natural resources and reduce the impact of climate change. If approved, the proposal would allow the State to borrow up to $4.2 billion to provide funding for capital projects for the restoration and flood risk reduction, open space land conservation and recreation, climate change mitigation, and water quality improvement and resilient infrastructure.
