SCHUYLERVILLE — On Saturday, December 19, Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York troops particiapated in Wreaths Across America, a national initiative to pay tribute to veterans. More than 25 girls from the Clifton Park Service Unit layed thousands of wreaths at markers throughout the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.

Wreaths Across America began in 1992 at Arlington National Cemetery. Now, every December hundreds of thousands of wreaths are placed on veterans’ graves at National and State cemeteries each year to remind people to remember, honor and teach about our nation’s veterans and their families.
