Nacre Dance Group Offers Half and Full-Day Summer Dance Camps

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Nacre Dance Group hosts a 2021 summer dance camp, August 2-6, with half-day or full-day options in Contemporary Dance or Classical Ballet for dancers ages 13-19 with dance experience.

The morning program (9 a.m. – noon) takes students from technique class to rehearsal challenging dancers to make connections between training and performance. Students will learn choreography by Nacre Dance Artists Beth Fecteau (Classical Ballet) and Danielle Selby (Contemporary Dance). Students will broaden their dance training, expand their dance knowledge and vocabulary.

The afternoon program (12:30-3:30 p.m.) will be devoted to the exploration of choreography as students explore their creative voice through a codified choreography curriculum created by Nacre faculty. While learning the building blocks of choreography students will successfully create a dance piece of their own.
