Dylan K. Vella, 28, of Corinth, pleaded guilty to murder in the second-degree, in Saratoga County Court on Nov. 17. The charge – which also included three felony counts of assault – date to an April 7, 2020 incident in the town of Corinth during which Vella was accused of intentionally driving his vehicle into three motorcycles, causing physical injuries to one victim, serious physical injuries to two other victims and resulting in the death of a fourth victim – Paul Hollenbeck of Corinth. Vella additionally pleaded to one felony count sexual abuse in the first-degree regarding an incident that preceded the motorcycle crash and involved the sexual abuse of a woman in the town of Hadley, according to a statement issued by Saratoga County District Attorney Karen Heggen. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 7 when it is anticipated Vella will receive a sentence of 20 years-to-life related to the murder charge, in addition to sentences regarding the assault and sexual abuse charges, Heggen said.         

Jonathan H. Fajans, 20, of Galway, was sentenced Nov. 12 to 10 years incarceration and 20 years post-release supervision, after pleading to criminal sexual act in the first-degree, in connection with an incident that occurred in December 2020. 

Malik Butler, 24, of Schenectady, was sentenced to six months incarceration and five years of probation, after pleading to attempted burglary in the second-degree, originally charged in February 2019 in Clifton Park. 

Khalil Hankins, 26, of Colonie, pleaded Nov. 12 to felony burglary, in connection with an incident in Malta. 

POLICE 

David P. Hancock, 23, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Nov. 14 with felony burglary, and misdemeanor petit larceny, in connection with a larceny complaint at the Walmart in Wilton. 

Anthony Canzone, Jr., 47, of Schenectady, was charged Nov. 11 in Milton with grand larceny, insurance fraud, and falsifying business records. It is alleged Canzone fraudulently received $38,753.37 in 207-C wage replacement payments from the self-insurance fund of Saratoga County, and misrepresented material facts in documents the completed in furtherance of the claim for benefits, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Katie M. Horn, 26, of Hadley, was charged Nov. 10 with two counts promoting a sexual performance by a child and use of a child in a sexual performance – all four counts are felony charges, and two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Horn is accused of using two children under the age of 5 to create child pornography. The photos were found on an electronic device by a family member of one of the children which prompted the investigation. The children were not family members, but were known to Horn, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. 

Bryan T. Dinardi, 30, of Halfmoon, was charged Nov. 10 with felony arson and making a punishable false written statement, a misdemeanor. Dinardi is suspected of setting fire to a vehicle in the Malta Gardens Mobile Home Park on Nov. 6, and lying about the circumstances of the fire on a sworn deposition. 

John George, 47, of Bennington, Vermont, was charged Nov. 2 in Saratoga Springs with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, after being involved in a property damage accident. 

Patrick Hammond, 28, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Nov. 2 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and a vehicle equipment violation. 

Shane Stephens, 29, of Saratoga, was charged Nov. 2 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and having a suspended registration. 

Johnson Gooden-Prunty, 27, of Schenectady, was charged Nov. 3 in Saratoga Springs with false impersonation, obstruct governmental official, having no license, and fail to yield right of way.

Caroline Garrity, 26, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Nov. 3 with assault in the second-degree, a felony. 

Ciaran McCall, 27, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Nov. 4 with criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. 

Steven Calizza, 27, of Gansevoort, was charged Nov. 6 in Saratoga Springs with misdemeanor DWI, following a vehicle too closely, and aggravated DWI, after being involved in a property damage accident. 

Jamaine Myers, 43, of Troy, was charged Nov. 6 in Saratoga Springs with criminal contempt, stalking, and criminal trespass – all misdemeanors. 

Tayla Ramos, 31, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Nov. 9 with misdemeanor welfare fraud, and offering a false instrument to file in the first-degree, a felony.
