Imaginary Witness: Hollywood and the Holocaust

A virtual panel discussion of the film Imaginary Witness: Hollywood and the Holocaust a 2004 documentary on Sunday, August 7 at 7 p.m. The film is directed by Daniel Anker and narrated by Gene Hackman. The film examines the treatment of the Holocaust in Hollywood films over a period of 60 years and the impact of the films on public perception and thinking and vice versa. The panel discussion on Zoom is sponsored by Temple Sinai of Saratoga Springs and supported by a generous grant from the Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York and will be held on August 9 at 7 p.m. Watch the film on YouTube before the panel discussion. Drive Out Cancer Golf League

10 Weeks, 10 Courses, 1 Mission. Presented by Performance Industrial, benefiting American Cancer Society. Ten weeks of golf, ten different Capital Region courses starting Friday, August 7 and finishing with a celebration round and dinner on Wednesday, October 7. Ten weeks, ten courses — most of them private clubs you don’t otherwise get to play. Foursome players can change week to week. Bring a different client, vendor, or friend each round. Every $5,000 team entry sends $4,500 directly to the American Cancer Society as a tax-deductible gift. 16th Annual Caboose Day 

The Town of Greenfield Historical Society will hold their 16th Annual Caboose Day at Kings Station 4000 Rt 9N on Saturday, Aug 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  This is a rain or shine event. The Train Station & Caboose will be open for tours. Vendors, bake sale, Greenfield History book, T-shirts, food, and drink will be for sale. Tammy Renee to lead worship Sunday, August 9 at 8:30 a.m. at the Middle Grove United Methodist Church (429 Middle Grove Rd.). Tammy is an award-winning gospel singer who travels the country on a mission centered in love and connection, encouraging others through uplifting music and heartfelt messages.
