William J. Scheuer

WILTON — William J. Scheuer, Jr., age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at St. Peter’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on February 9, 1954, in Amityville, NY, William was the beloved son of the late William J. Scheuer, Sr. and Gertrude Ryan Scheuer.

William was a graduate of the Berne Knox School District. He dedicated many years of his career as a Technician for TAG Solutions before retiring. William cherished his family above all else and enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking, camping, and card nights with friends.

William is survived by his devoted wife, Jacquelyn Scheuer, with whom he shared 41 years of marriage; his son, Chad Scheuer, Sr. (Jennifer); daughter, Kelly Penman; brothers, Robert Scheuer (Camille), James Scheuer, Thomas Scheuer (Cindy); sisters, Betty Steuerwald, Barbara Ferrall (Mickey); sisters-in-law, Gail DeGraff (Lee), Judy Clements (Kevin), Sue New (Jeff); grandchildren, Alex Bouch, CJ Scheuer, Josh Scheuer, Hailey Penman; great-grandson, Brayden Bouch; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will deeply miss his humble spirit.

He was predeceased by his parents and his daughter, Alisha Scheuer.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY. 

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY followed by a graveside service at Maplewood Cemetery, located at the corner of Weibel and Louden Road, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
